African eDevelopment Resource Center (AeRC) in collaboration with Telehorizon Telecommunications Ltd would like to invite participants to a 4 day unique, authoritative, high-value, hands-on practical course which will provide a technical overview of planning calculations and optimisation tools for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and WCDMA.AeRC is an organization championing ICT for capacity development initiatives in the region through knowl-edge sharing and skills development programmes,formed in 2005. Telehorizon Telecommunication is a Swedish Company that specializes in Telecom and IP Training, Telecom Network Roll-out, Operation and Maintenance for over 15 years and has worked Telecoms operators around the world.

Course Lead Trainer
Eng.Damien ChatelainDamien has worked in the Telecommunications environment for over 10 years in both Europe and Africa. He has more recently worked as techni-cal trainer in GSM, GPRS, and UMTS with clients such as Ericson Global Group and MTN Group. His main area of expertise is in Radio Planning on 2G and 3G Networks, Transmission and Cell Planning, GPRS Operation nodes, and Core Net-work nodes.
Damien holds a Doctorate in Telecoms from Tswane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa (WLAN over GSM for Rural areas). He holds a Master Engineering in Electronic with a specialty in Telecommunication and micro-electronics, ES-IEE, Paris, France and co-authored various pub-lication in the same field.
Circuit Switched Core Network Planning and Optimisation
Who should attend? 3-6 Months previous experience in Cellular networks will be an added advantage. This training program is mainly targeted to Radio Planner and Engineers.
