New digital multimedia broadcasting technologies employed
TTA published T-DMB standards and Standardization is on progress.
T-DMB specification was legislated as ETSI standard and will be
legislated by ITU-R
T-DMB can provide TV, radio and various data services anywhere and
anytime & Mobile multimedia functions added to mobile phones
Various type of T-DMB receivers developed and is developing by many
electronic companies
Commercial T-DMB services launched in December 2005 around
Seoul metropolitan area, and will be available nationwide soon
China, Germany, England and many other countries consider T-DMB
services

7. Conclusion
According to emergence of digital technology in the field of broadcasting and convergence trend between communication and broadcasting technology, we should note that the advanced digital broadcasting standardization such as DMB, IPTV is being proceeded at the various standardization organizations.
It is necessary to share the information on Digital Multimedia Broadcasting standardization including mobile broadcasting between SDOs

1. World-Wide Promotion Status of T-DMB
GSC: Standardization Advancing Global Communications 12
TV-like service at motion– Excellent mobile reception at max. 200 km/h
• VCD-like video quality on 5-7 inch LCD– Max 352*288 @ max 30 frames/sec
High quality audio service– CD-like quality audio broadcasting beats analog FM– Audio possibly with slide show
Data services– EPG, News, Weather, Stocks, Traffic Information etc.– Provision of local and remote interactivity
Mobile-phone-like multimedia service– free services like conventional TV– high-bandwidth data-box in my pocket for free reception (compared to mobile
communication network)
