These include the Acropolis, the Propylaea, the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Temple of Zeus, the Arch of Hadrian, the Panathenaic Stadium (the "Kallimarmaron", which is the site of the first modern Olympic Games that took place in 1896), the area of Plaka, Hadrian's Li-brary, the Roman Agora, the An-cient Agora of Athens, the former royal palace, the Parliament, the Monument of the Unknown Sol-dier, the Varvakeios meat & fish market, Lycabettus hill, the New Acropolis Museum, and the Ar-chaeological Museum.

INFO: As the cradle of ancient civilisation, Athens is home to a great number of historical and archaeological sites that attract every traveler’s gaze. Accordingly, its history is deeply engraved on many sites, such as the Acropolis, the Propylaea, the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Tem-ple of Athena Nike, the Areios Pagos, the hill of Philopappos, the Temple of Zeus, the Arch of Hadrian, the Panathenaic Stadium (the "Kallimarmaron", which is where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896), the area of Plaka, Hadrian's Library, the Roman Agora, and the Ancient Agora of Athens.

At the same time, visitors can also explore the city’s modern history by visiting the former royal palace, the Zappeion Hall at Syntagma Square, the Parliament, the Monument of the Un-known Soldier, the Catholic cathedral, the Athens Academy, the University of Athens, the Na-tional library, and the Archaeological Museum. As a modern capital city, Athens offers some-thing that will satisfy everyone’s wishes, a few examples being its commercial centre, the area around Monastiraki and its famous flea market, Kerameikos, Gazi, Thission and Psirri with their trendy bars and restaurants, the Varvakeios market that offers fresh meat and fish pro-duce for you to enjoy, Athens City Hall, Kotzia square, Omonia square, Kolonaki (which is the ‘high end’ of downtown Athens), Lycabettus hill, the statue of the Runner (a large statue made of glass), the War Museum, the Byzantine Museum, and the Museum of Cycladic Art. Not included in the tour price:

Comprehensive motorcycle insurance or coinsurance. Fuel, toll fees, boat tickets. Entrance tickets for scheduled visits to sights, entrance and guide fees within archaeological sites. Everything marked in the itinerary as ‘optional’.

Additional provisions (extra charges apply):

Travel insurance. Driver’s helmet and/or passenger’s helmet upon agreement regarding sizing. Meeting and transport from Athens International Airport (or from another pick-up location of your choice). | Luggage cases, GPS, action cameras (GoPro, Sony or similar).
