traveling…
January → May: Norway
June → July: Traveling
August → September: Uganda
October → November: Tanzania

“Do you want to work with the Millennium Village Project?”
YES!
“Do you want to ride a boda boda?”
mmm….yes?
“Do you like working in development?”
Yes?
“Your supervisor is sick, we don’t know what you can do here, but do you still
want to come to Tanzania and then figure it out?”
...but yes
“Do you want to live in a village on a mountain and do action research for an orphan project?
YES!
“Actually, you’ve become more like a project manager?”
I guess yes…
“18,891 words are a lot.”
Yes. But it’s worth it.

Being on my first safari, rafting the NileThe board members thanking me, receiving
gifts (live chicken!)The children being proud of the projectDancing at an initiation ceremonyWhy do you come here instead of helping
your own people?The sinking feeling when we left the slum
area to go back to our safe hostelLiving with a Tanzania family
“Would you do this again?”
No doubt..YES!
I’d rather spend my time working like this more than any other way.
I’d rather take chances than sit on my hands.
I’d rather live life like a tourist.
I’d rather suck up the hard stuff than miss out the fun stuff.
