From Fr. Mark Mertes, Pastor: Then you shall be radiant at what you see,

Your heart shall throb and overflow….. (Isaiah 60.4)

The Epiphany is one of the ways the church cele-brates the fullness of God revealed in the mystery of Christ. Throughout history the Epiphany, the Wedding Feast at Cana and the Baptism of Jesus were each considered to be a powerful manifesta-tion of God’s grace revealed in the person of Je-sus and active in our human condition. Today the Magi prostrate themselves before the Christ Child; Epiphany is an invitation to us to also reverence the mystery of Christ already shining before us. As we move toward the conclusion of our Christ-mas Season let us be radiant at what we see! As we patiently guide our families through

these winter months As we gratefully acknowledge the brightness

of Christ in our spouse’s good intentions to-ward us

As we notice that the evenings are getting im-perceptibly brighter

As we participate in youth sports and experi-ence the promise of our young people

As we feel peace and contentment from our work and marriage and church commitments

Entonces verás esto radiante de alegría;

Mientras guiamos pacientemente a nuestras
