Please note that while we do offer private tours which are exclusively for Marriott guests, most other group tours include several other pick up points along the way in order to collect guests at other hotels. CORDOBA

During the excursion you will visit the Mezquita - one of the earliest and most beautiful examples of Spanish/Muslim architecture, the Roman Bridge, Jewish Village and the Synagogue. Lunch will be held in a nice restaurant near the Puente Romano with nice views and we will also have some time for shopping. Those guests who prefer taking the ‘without lunch’ option will have enough time to go for lunch in another restaurant and to go shopping. Most of the time during the tour will be spent walking.

GIBRALTAR

Explore the amazing point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Climb aboard a double-decker for amazing views of the water and landscape.

The Rock Tour by Mini Bus includes a visit to St. Michael’s Caves, Europe Point (with wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea together) and a chance to see the monkeys living in freedom and shopping in the main street. If you choose the Shopping option, you will not have the ‘Rock Tour’ therefore you will be on your own the whole time. If you want to include the Tunnels on the ‘Rock Tour’, please note that these will be only available in English and Spanish speaking guide and not free time for shopping.

NOTE: Please do not forget to check if you need a visa before booking the tour to Gibraltar and also check with the Guide the maximum amount of items you are allowed to buy in Gibraltar. SEVILLE

Situated on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, the lovely capital of Andalucía is one of the largest historical centers in Europe. Architectural wonders include the minaret of La Giralda, the Cathedral (one of the largest in Christendom) and the Alcazar Palace. Artistic and cultural treasures include Casa de Pilatos, the Town Hall, the Fine Arts Museum (the second largest picture gallery in Spain) and the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower), named for the radiant beams cast by the reflection of the sun off of its once gold tile-covered dome.

Numerous varied cultures have been present in Seville’s history. The city’s cultural, monumental and artistic legacy gained over the centuries can be admired on the streets and in museums. Seville’s dark origins have provided legends such as the one that attributes Hercules as its founder.

The excursion includes a walking tour of the Old City, visiting the Spanish Square which is a beautiful building from the ‘Ibero americana Exhibition of 1929’, also the Santa Cruz Quarter also known as the Jewish quarter, the Cathedral which is the third largest in Europe and the Giralda Tower. Lunch will be in a nice restaurant and we will also have some time for shopping. Those guests who prefer taking the option ‘without lunch’ will have enough time to go to another restaurant and also have time for shopping.

The guide will probably suggest a boat tour along the Guadalquivir River, during the siesta time, as most of the shops will be closed during this time, but you do not have to take part; it is just a recommendation and you will have to pay around €15 extra for that part of the tour.

Although it is true that the shopping area will not be open, there are many other beautiful things to see during your free time, for example the Reales Alcázares are open all day (in summer from 10:00 till 13:30 and 17:00 till 19:00). As an alternative you can have a nice walk around the Jewish Quarter because most of the little shops will stay open in that part of the city - otherwise visit the Maria Luisa gardens and take wonderful pictures. You decide!

GRANADA

Composers have tried to capture its essence, painters its beauty, poets its aura—“a pearl set in emeralds.” The highlight of your visit will be a tour of The Alhambra (red castle), a massive castle constructed during the course of many centuries that captivates everyone who walks the lines of its looming shadow. Explore the Generalife Gardens, a lively expression of the city’s Moorish past. Organized tours can be booked at the Concierge Desk, but if you prefer to drive yourself to Granada, we can also organize a tour guide for you.

The tour begins at the actual Palace, where a local guide reveals the story behind this mystifying castle. After exploring the grounds with your guide, the trip continues to the city center where you will enjoy a lunch at a pre-selected restaurant. The guests with lunch included will eat together at this restaurant and the guests who have booked their tour without lunch will have some personal time to freely choose a nearby restaurant. After lunch the tour continues to the Albaicin and the Saint Nicolas View Point, two must see attractions of Granada, and finally you will have the opportunity to walk around the historical “old town” to view “La Alcaiceria, El Corral del Carbon, the exterior part of the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel. The tour concludes at approximately 17:00, and your bus you will bring you back to Marriott.

TANGIER

Discover one of the oldest and most glamorous cities in Morocco. With large populations of Muslims, Christians and Jews, Tangier is also one of the most culturally diverse places on earth. Once an international city with no taxes and loose laws, the city’s mysterious nature has inspired artists for centuries and continues to attract tourists from all over the world. Tangier is only 45 minutes by fast ferry from the Spanish mainland. We recommended that you visit Morocco using an organized tour.

Morocco is a Muslim country so this is a great opportunity, not just to visit another country, but also to visit another continent, and take the opportunity to be introduced to a very different culture; a culture that had a profound and lasting influence on southern Spain. Due to these cultural differences, we recommend women not to wear revealing clothes; T-shirt, trousers and comfortable shoes will be the best option. Aim to be as simple and comfortable, and try to avoid wearing a lot of jewellery (out of consideration for people living there, as Tangier is a relatively poor city). Upon arrival to the port of Algeciras/Tarifa we will embark on the Ferry to Tangier. (Passports are required and the Guide will retain them until you leave Morocco). The ferry ride takes around 45 minutes.

The excursion includes a bus sightseeing to see, the sea promenade, Avenue Mohamed V, Severo Ochoa Institute, the Portuguese, American, Italian and Spanish neighborhoods, The Real Palace and Cap Espartel. By the Real Palace there will be an opportunity to ride a camel.

Next we stop in an Atlantic dune to take photos, then return to the Medina via the most glamorous villa area of Tangier; here you can appreciate the difference between the poor and rich areas. After we will enjoy a stop at the Punico Roman Necropolis to see the tombs and enjoy the best views of the Strait of Gibraltar.

We will visit the Medina and Kasbah where you will appreciate the rich architecture. This will include the snake charming and a visit to one of the bakeries.

For lunch we will have a typical lunch (Harira, chicken Cou-Cous, pinchos morunos and tea with Chuparquia pastry .Later during the Bazaar visit , which lasts around 30 minutes, you will learn of the different types of carpets and maroquian handicrafts. Please note, as an alternative for this part of the trip, you can instead choose to enjoy some typical Moroccan tea nearby.

NOTE: The Tour Company keeps the right to cancel the departure from the harbor if the weather does not permit the crossing. Please note that this trip is more of an adventure and it can be exhausting, especially for kids and elderly people. Most of the time during the tour will be spent walking. We advise guests not to wear excessive jewelry, and recommend leaving these items in the guest safes installed in the apartments.

RONDA

Venture into the hills and find Ronda, a unique and beautiful town split in half by a gorge 100 meters deep. Horse-drawn carriages take visitors on majestic tours through the gardens of the House of the Moorish King, among other sights. This historic town is also the birthplace of the bullfight, so don’t miss “Plaza de Toros”, one of the oldest bullfighting rings in the world.

During the journey to Ronda, we will see the amazing landscapes and the real Andalucía. Once in Ronda we will start the tour through the monumental city, visiting the Puerta del Almocaba, the Espíritu Santo Church and the Town Hall Square.

Then we will visit the Church-Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, known as Church of Santa Maria la Mayor, famous for its mixture of many different architectural styles (including Gothic, Arabic and Renaissance), also the Mondragon Palace and Giant House. If you are interested in visiting the Bullring, which is the oldest in Spain and where many famous bullfighters were born, please ask the guide for further information on how to get there during your free time. We will have lunch in a nice restaurant with a friendly atmosphere just outside of Ronda, with time for shopping or just to wander around. We will return passing along the coast, and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Most of the time during the tour will be spent walking.

INDIANA NATURA RONDA PRIVATE JEEP TOUR

Discover the richness and diversity of the Andaluzian landscape by Land Rover Jeep. Experience the spectacular natural parks, such as Sierra de las Nieves, Grazalema and Alcornocales. Although not categorized as official natural parks, there is a vast array of other beautiful and interesting places as well that can be explored with an experienced local guide. INDIANA NATURACORDOBA MINI VAN PRIVATE TOUR

TOMA TOURSTANGIER DAY TRIP – PRIVATE TOUR

Toma Tours day trip to Tangier is an intimate look into this fascinating city. Its charm is made up by layers upon layers of International Influence. The Portuguese, the Spanish, The French, The Americans among others all had a hand in forming the fabric of this city.

A cooking day in the hills of MalagaWe take you to a private home in a very beautiful area behind the city of Malaga, where you can relax into the atmosphere of a country kitchen. TOMA TOURSMR. HENDERSON’S RAILWAY – PRIVATE TOUR

On the 27th November 1892, all 22 stations of a new railway line running from Bobadilla through Ronda to Algeciras was opened to the public. The economic founder of this railway was a well known millionaire by the name of Mr. Henderson. The same man later was awarded the title of Baron Farringdon. This railway system changed the economic structure of this part of Andalucia and being the only railway to end in a port meant for a boom in trade and commerce. But, as the route boasts such incredible natural beauty, the train line soon became a hit amongst travelers and holiday makers. The train passes “through the picturesque countryside of such a verdant mountain range”.

Mr Henderson was drawn to the picturesque port of Algeciras and there decided to build one of two hotels flanking the route. The first was Hotel Reina Cristina in Algeciras which became a favorite among world leaders, writers and alike. This English hotel opened in 1902 was the first hotel to be opened on the south coast of Spain.

This fantastic day trip starts at the Hotel Reina Cristina so you can see for yourselves a typical colonial English hotel from the turn of the century and after enjoying its wonderful atmosphere and gardens, we will put you on Mr. Henderson’s Railway for you to enjoy the wonderful views and scenery as you wind your way up to the hills of Ronda. The only thing that has changed about this train trip is the train itself, now modern air-conditioned RENFE train. In Ronda you will be met at the station, and then you will enjoy a wonderful lunch in a typical Venta on our way back down to the Costa del Sol.

TOMA TOURSDAY TRIP TO MADRID ON THE HIGH SPEED TRAIN FROM MALAGA

THE PRADO MUSEUM AND OTHER DELIGHTS – PRIVATE TOUR

A delightful day in the capital of Spain. We leave the hotel early and drive to Malaga to catch the AVE train and begin our exploration of the highest and newest Euroean capital with its very distinct flair and atmosphere. The Madrileños are known for their energy and love of life!

We will take the metro to the further point of our visit and then the remainder of the day is on foot. We will begin with a stroll around the heart of the Old Town. We will see the Oldest Restaurant in the world, the Plaza Mayor, The Market of San Miguel and the Puerta del Sol.

We will then enjoy a fabulous lunch in a quiet little family run restaurant where we will be rubbing elbows with politicians and civil servants as it’s just around the corner from the Congress Palace. The afternoon is dedicated to one of the most important art collections in the world, The Prado Museum.

Your guide will take you on a journey through the history of Spanish art concentrating on El Greco, Goya and Velazquez. On our way back to the train station we will stop off at a very famous bar which claims to sell the best Bocadillos de Calamares in the city, to enjoy on our return journey.

Here you will get the opportunity to visit a traditional Spanish winery in Ronda ~ a place where the time stops and the journey through the senses begins.

Los Frutales Estate is located in the wonderful mountains of Ronda, on the slopes of ‘Los Frontones’; where you can still enjoy the essence of the Andalusian traditions of wine making. SPANISH WINE TASTING AND TAPAS TOUR MIJAS OR GAUCIN

What better way to enjoy life than to sample the local foods and wine in style how the locals do? Here is your chance.

This half day excursion will consist of an introduction to wine tasting, explanation of the basic technique to discover the aroma and flavour of local and regional wines (white, rosé, red and dessert wines). Enjoy a selection of gourmet tapas accompanying the tasting and then after a brief tour of the village of Mijas or Gaucin, sit down in the heart of the village to enjoy some of the local tapas to conclude an evening that your senses shall never forget!

Eyeballing the shade of colour of the wine, inhaling, savouring, swirling and swishing; it may look complicated or even snobbish, but the traditional wine-tasting technique is designed to waken all your senses, from sight to scent to taste, to aftertaste. Learn about some of our local and regional wines.

We shall proceed to the village centre to a typical tapas bar and experience the practice of “tapeo”. A clever formula that allows you to taste just about everything, not out of gluttony but culinary curiosity! As they say, variety is the spice of life and today you will become a wine and culinary connoisseur to boot. A perfect way to conclude a perfect evening.

MEDITERRANEAN COOKING COURSE – PRIVATE TOUR

Discover the secret of traditional Spanish cooking the rustic Andalusian way, either as a meal or a selection of tapas.

Our journey will begin at 10:00h and take you to a beautiful setting amidst the Ronda mountains near Gaucin Village a mere hour away, where one of our chefs shall prepare 5 different Rustic dishes accompanied by popular red and white regional wines.

You will start by hand picking your ingredients from the nearby orchard and adjoining countryside and prepare everything with a full hands-on experience (you cannot get more natural than that!). In the eventuality of bad weather we will happily take you to the local Marbella market where you will select the products we shall be using in this afternoon’s cooking class and in the process why not take this opportunity to buy something for yourself?!

In this class you will learn how to make 5 accompanying dishes and gain a greater understanding of how to use basic ingredients such as olive oil and spices the Spanish way. These will be skills one can implement at home to impress friends and family to a veritable treat and you shall be transformed into a true Mediterranean Chef!

The breathtaking scenery of the natural park and the insight into the secret of Spanish cooking will create a moment you will always treasure full of entertainment and plenty of unique experiences.
