Edutainment Activities at TIT GroupEdutainment is a blend of education and entertainment. The events are used to educate students through various forms of entertainment. At TIT group we introduced this concept by celebrating an edutainment week in Sept 2012. The events were grouped in 7 categories namely Technical, Hobby, Carrier Edge, Research, Social, Event Management and Corporate. Each group was then further divided into different sub groups. TIT campus has over 11000 students in engineering, pharmacy, MBA, MCA and over 500 faculty members. Our campus is very similar to the university and hence greater interaction among the students, teachers of different streams is necessary to have scholarly atmosphere in the campus. The edutainment events provided the space in which extra-curricular activities were done in scholarly way. The response has been overwhelming from students and staff alike. Uniqueness of the activity was that it was done connecting lunch time so that studies did not get disturbed. The programmes in September were organized by a team of staff members, however year round edutainment activities will later be organized by students so that they develop leadership, coordination, event management qualities.

Baltimore, USA. The TIT group has facility of 1100 computers for online exams and has been successfully conducting online tests for government and non government recruitments regularly. The students of TIT Group of Institutions are also active in the

Education is the crucible in which Innovations are forged. Similar to western countries promotion of creativity and incentivizing innovations through collaboration between industry and our educational institutions is needed for broadening and deepening the impact of innovations in our society and economy. The rapid advances in new technologies, changing needs of the economy and presence of the challenges in competitive global scenario presents a fertile ground for pioneering innovations in India. Recognising the fundamental role of joint efforts between education and industry in nurturing and fostering the innovation the TIT Group of Institutions has collaboration with an IT company called Ramraj Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd established in 2009 at Bhopal. This initiative of ours is a rare in Indian context that encourages innovations in our institutions of engineering, MCA and MBA. This new educational model of providing innovative platform for knowledge creation, dissemination and application is an unique example set by our group. Setting up of Innovation Centre in the form of RTSPL has greatly helped to train our students and enable them to become creative and innovative thinkers. Co-location of this venture run mostly by TITians in Bhopal has helped in leveraging academic and industry resources to boost

the design and development capacity in IT sector in Central India.

The RTSPL provides a platform for the students of TIT Group institutes to forge linkages between various stakeholders from industry and academia, initiate and assist innovation activities, encourage innovations in curricula and act as a catalyst and facilitator for this purpose. It also works closely with other industry clusters in the region. This unique initiative associated with TIT group helps make our B.E. program enriched with innovation and collaborative relationships with industry bodies and Network of ICT Entrepreneurs & Enterprises. The student get experience of working on various technology solutions before they graduate and hence most suitable for working directly on the live projects handled by the employers. The students are exposed to IT solutions such as IMRPS- solution for all enterprise needs, Customer Portal for Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) software, Hospital Management and Resource Planning System (HMRPS Professional – ERP), HMS System for small and medium sized Hotels, Resorts and Motels, Test Triumph a web-based software for collages to help improve their placement performance and library management systems for schools and colleges.
