Group Activity Directions Leavin’ It Behind! // You’ll Need Word Bubble activity sheet (2 per child) Markers (1 set per group) Trash cans (2 per room) To Do 1. Practice the Verse and the Point together. Say: On the Konnect Space Station, Cruz had to leave a lot of stuff behind to obey God and show Jesus is his Lord. We might have to get rid of some stuff, too, to show Jesus is our Lord! Ask: What’s something you should leave behind if you want to show you’re following Jesus? The rich young ruler wanted to be Jesus’ disciple, but he left and went home instead. Why? He felt like he really needed it; he made it more important than Jesus. 6. How do you know if something is more important to you than following Jesus? It’s all you can think about, it makes you want to disobey, you’re afraid of what would happen if it’s not around, it’s hurting you or hurting other people, etc. Apply To This Week 1.
