Group Corporate Social Responsibility
Serving the Community
The Group’s CSR Policy ensures that CSR values are fully
integrated throughout the value chain across all our operations
throughout the globe. The policy puts an emphasis on our
capacity to influence society positively through various initiatives
to meet the needs of the community. Our focus in those who
have less within the community, underprivileged groups that
need assistance in their living.
We take the opportunity to make an impact during the various
festivals throughout the year to meet the needs of such groups.
During the period under review, we took a group of orphans for
a Raya shopping spree and break of fast in Kuantan, Pahang. We
also engaged with the surrounding community by participating
in their religious activities during the holy month of Ramadhan.
The tradition of working together with the villagers in the
surrounding area was continued with a Hari Raya Korban’s
gotong-royong activites with the community leaders and
villagers in Maran, Pahang.
We continue to instill patriotism among Malaysians and our
employees by flying giant Merdeka flags in our workplace and
along our highway corridor.
When the country was hit with one of the worst floods in
January 2015, many villages and families lost their homes in the
flood that hit east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and daily images
of those suffering were heart wrenching to watch. As every
assistance helps, the Group organised a staff donation drive for
Pahang flood victims. Proceeds from the donation drive were
handed over to the village, which was severely affected. The
Group also provided shelter for about 100 affected villagers at
the Temerloh Rest & Service Area while our Disaster Recovery
Team were deployed to help the community in the nearby
Kampung Bintang.
The AlloyMtd Group, in which MTDACPI is a member, continues to be conscious of its role as a
corporate citizen, where its operations have an impact on the communities that it serves. We take
our corporate social responsibility (CSR) seriously, as we take a concerted eort to contribute
meaningfully towards the betterment of our society.

Come Chinese New Year, we took the opportunity to spruce
up and make good PDK Ceria daycare centre in Bentong,
Pahang. The children were then entertained with clowning
activities and senamrobic.
In the various festivities including Hari Raya Aidilfitri
and Chinese New Year, we prepared our highway users
ahead of their journeys by putting up travel time advisory
advertisements in major newspapers across the country. We
also offered discounted toll rates for users to relieve them
of the financial burden as they celebrate their respective
festivals with loved ones.

Trust and integrity are important values in our line of business,
and to ensure that our stakeholders’ confidence in MTDACPI

As our employees are constantly on the field, where they
are subjected to various health and safety risks, we have put
in place the Health & Safety Policy, which includes standard
procedures on construction site, as well as safety measures
during emergencies.
The Group organises annual various sessions under the
Staff Training & Development Programme, which supports
knowledge building and skills training. We also aspire to
build a high performing culture through a comprehensive
Performance Management System (PMS) that takes
into account Key Performance Index and Leadership
Competencies. With this PMS in place, we want to motivate
and challenge our people to give their best in showcasing
their capabilities, as well as creating a continuous learning
culture for building future leaders in the organisation.
Conserving Our Mother Earth
As our business is closely related to the environment, we
acknowledge that every of our action can have an impact
to our mother earth. As such, we consciously evaluate our
processes and methodology to ensure that we do not leave a
negative footprint behind.
One of the keys to environment preservation is through
research and development (R&D) and the Group intends to
collaborate with institutions of higher learning to conduct
such programmes. To kick start, the Group, through ACP-DMT
Sdn Bhd, would be undertaking the R&D on micro-surfacing,
which is a critical phase in road constructions.
Ahead of the implementation of Solid Waste and Public
Cleansing Management Act 2007 (Act 672) on 1 September
2015, the Group has played a part in raising public awareness
on the importance of recycling. Via subsidiary, E-Idaman
Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Solid Waste Corporation, the
Group has introduced and carried out the 3R & Separation at
Home Awareness Programme to educate the public about
the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle. The awareness
programme was held in 24 locations across the states of
Kedah and Perlis, which were among the several states that
have agreed to adopt the new waste management law.
In addition, all of our standard operating procedures comply
with regulatory requirements including slopes stability,
structure management and terrain management. We are also
ISO compliant and regularly review our internal processes to
determine areas for improvement.
In line with Bursa Malaysia’s initiative to promote Environment,
Social and Governance, the Group intends to conduct an audit
on its existing policies and processes and identify the necessary
gaps that would promote further transparency and disclosures in
our role as Corporate citizen. Going forward, the Group remains
committed in enhancing its CSR framework and will not hesitate
to implement new programmes that will benefit the areas of
Community, Workplace, Marketplace and the Environment.
