Introduction

MDNIY has established Advance Centres for Yoga Therapy, Education and Research in Premier

Medical Institutions/Hospitals during the 11th

Five Year Plan with the approval of competent authority.

Originally five premier medical research institutions were selected for the opening of ACYTER with

the objective of multi fold development like Propagation of its benefits, collection of scientific

evidences for its action against diseases as add-on therapy to the conventional treatment by means of

The Research work done in the DIPAS in basically on healthy personnels of Defence, in order

to improve their normal health conditions to create more and more capability to live with their

hard nature of beauties apart from the acclimatization with the natural conditions prevailing at

the long vivid borders of country.

Research Project:

a) Phisiological assesement of BSF Personnel before and after 3 ½ months of intensive Yoga

training imparted by MDNIY.

b) Yogic Module for health promotion was administered to CFEES Personnel for four weeks.

Phisilogical assesement was carried out before and after the training programme to evaluate if

there could be any improvement.

c) Phisiological evaluation of one year Yoga training programme of students of MDNIY.

d) Effects on Yoga on cognitive performance of Air Force Personnel and correlation with psycho-

phisiological parameter.

e) Effects on Yoga on performance on Air Force Personnel and correlation with psycho-

phisiological parameters.
