Read the passage below and answer the question that follows.
Trees are very important to all of us. Hence, we need to take good care of
them. Trees produce life-giving oxygen. They absorb carbon dioxide while
helping to cool the area around them. When trees are cut down and burnt, they
release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This increases the green house
effect which in turn creates global warming.
Trees provide shade and fruits to quench our hunger and thirst. Birds and
wildlife build their homes in the trees. When trees are destroyed, these creatures
lose their habitat and gradually become extinct.
Another important value of trees is they prevent soil erosion by holding the
soil together. When trees are removed, the top soil becomes loose and is easily
washed down by rain water. This can cause landslides which in turn cause rivers
to overflow and create floods. Cutting down of trees on a large scale can cause
rivers and streams to dry up.
Trees also have aesthetic value. They beautify and brighten up their
surrounding areas. They also help to relieve stress by providing a sight for sore
eyes.
Identify at least 5 reasons why the trees are very important.

Nutritionists say that being a vegetarian has its advantages and
disadvantages. Those who practice a vegetarian diet will be much healthier and
more energetic. This group usually has less heart disease, lower blood
pressure, fewer digestive problems and a lower risk of getting cancer. A
vegetarian diet is also the perfect regimen to lose weight. However, being avegetarian also has its disadvantages. If you do not eat meat at all, you may
lose essential nutrients. Vegetarians may have a higher risk of getting
osteoporosis, as they lack calcium in their body. They could also suffer from
anemia, have a pasty complexion and could be exhausted most of the time.
Vegetarians may also have beauty problems such as shedding of hair,
flaking of lips and cracking in the hands.
