You might think this was because the weather is cooling off, but you’d be wrong. I love early November because this is the time of year when I tuck my kids into bed and then sneak down to the kitchen and binge on all their Halloween candy. I love chocolate! This month, I’d like to take a minute to thank our tireless GPRA Board of Directors. Working with all of you for the past year has been a real pleasure. Back in 2014 when I was asked to be the 2016 GPRA President, after saying “no” several times, a very wise person told me “The trick is that you just need to surround yourself with great people. If you do this, you’ll be fine”. She was right. This has been a fantastic year for the GPRA. We have broken all time organization records in terms of membership, security dollars raised and had a heck of a lot of fun along the way. I appreciate each and every one of you for the time and hard work you’ve put in this year making Grogan’s Point truly THE BEST place to live. We’re not done yet though! I hope you all enjoyed Dine-In and the super spooky Haunted Flocking at the Estradas' in October. 20th Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard from 1994 to 1998. Bob died on October 20 and will be laidto rest with his fellow veterans at Arlington National Cemetery. To read more about his life and career, click here.

Lawson, a native Texan with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, mostrecently as Vice President of Business Development for Noble Energy, died on October 22. He will beremembered as a caring and loving husband to his wife, Terri, as well as a wonderful father, brother, grandfather, and friend as well as a zealous Christian.
