Pressure Testing Requirements are as follows: 1.) Gravity: All under slab and/or underground/buried plumbing from structure to Pump must pass a 5 PSI, 15 Min. duration test with no allowable loss of pressure. 2.) Pressure: The completed line from the Pump to the Curb Stop must pass a 80 PSI, 15 Min. duration test with no allowable loss of pressure.

A 1.5” Compression Coupler will be the customer connection point and will be marked with a 2”x4” board.

Grinder Pump Installation and Testing Detail

4”Dia. SCH40 must be used between Grinder Pump and undisturbed soil. The 4” SCH40 may be transitioned to 4” SDR35 with a gasketed coupler if a longer run is needed. A 4”Dia. Clean out is required within 3’ of the outside or inside of the foundation wall. This is accomplished by using a gasketed 4” SDR35 straight Tee on the outside or a 4” SCH40 glued Tee on the inside. No glue joints will be permitted outside of the foundation.
