On January 20, their job also involved helping with the 5 th annual soup cookoff. The competition included several vendors fighting for best soup in either the cream based soup or broth based soup category. People would then sample the soups and vote on which were their favorite. Cadets’ jobs were to check on vendors to make sure they had enough cups, spoons, and napkins for samplers. They also took care of taking out the trash when trash cans became full and sweeping up the mess afterwards. Our cadets were very busy running around, but thanks to their hard work the cookoff, as well as the farmers’ market every Saturday, was able to run smoothly. 2018 Unit Inspection
