Student Bus Travel Information In previous years, there has been a window of 8 weeks for students to apply and receive a travel entitlement pass. We have been informed by Information & Ticketing Services, who are part of Transport NSW, that this period has now been reduced to 4 weeks. This new period will end on Friday 28th February. If your child catches, or is intending to catch a bus this year, you must apply for a travel entitlement pass as soon as possible to avoid delays in the pass being approved by the due date above. All rural and regional bus operators have been informed of this change and will be enforcing the new 4 week period. Kindergarten Students Make a Smart Start Yesterday we greeted our youngest new people at Greta PS – our Kindergarten students! Their buddies were excited to have them start after the long holiday period, although maybe the enthusiasm was a little less from some of the Kinders once they realised they were staying for most of the day. Today they have had a very settled morning learning their first letter name and sound of the Jolly Phonics program as well as some other activities. They have all been happily playing with their buddies and friends during break times, with many of them preferring the play equipment. We are so excited to watch their learning journey throughout this year.

P&C Information Welcome back to the start of another busy year at Greta PS! It is great to see familiar faces again in the playground and we also warmly welcome our new families. It’s such an exciting time for first-time families. Here is some important information to begin the school year: THE SNACK SHACK The canteen (also known as The Snack Shack) will be closed for this week of school so that ordering can be completed, ready for Week 2. We are still looking for volunteers to assist us in ensuring it can be open next week. If you are able to help, please contact Tracey White directly on 0439 364 544. It would be great if it could be open consistently from Wednesday – Friday on a weekly basis. GENERAL MEETING The first P&C Meeting for the year will take place on Monday 17th February from 6:00pm in the staffroom. We strongly encourage parents and carers to join us and become actively involved in your child’s school. If you have an agenda item for ‘General Business’, it will need to be given to the P&C by Monday 10th February, so the agenda can be published to the school community prior to the first meeting. UNIFORM SHOP The Uniform Shop will open on Tuesday mornings from 8:30-9:30am. You can also place an order through the school office and it will be filled when someone is available.
