Scope of WorkS The Gregory Crinum Mine is located approximately 50 kilometres north east of Emerald. The mine is a punch Longwall Mining Operation driven from the J Block Highwall. The design comprises of seven longwall panels, with each of the initial four longwall maingates comprising of two portal entries for travel road and belt road, with the remainder consisting of mains development. The scope of this project was to operate two of the three development units to deliver Mains and Maingate driveage. Redpath was responsible for delivering the project methodology, managing interfaces with BMA and other contractor personnel in the performance of the services. This included development driveage and all ancillary duties to support production, including establishing and maintaining underground roadways, dewatering, installation of permanent (and temporary) ventilation controls, extend all services, including gas monitoring, mine dewatering and conveyors underground as excavation activities progressed.
