Green’s, The Rosé Experts The 2015 Vintage has Arrived!“Few wines are as easy-drinking, refreshing or as versatile as rosé. With the warmerdays of summer…it is time to start stocking up on these flavorful sippers, which arebest served well-chilled to allow their subtle fruit and spice flavors to shine through.
The best are also zesty enough to match well with lighter fare, such as grilled poultryor seafood.”

“There’s nothing better on a sultry day than a wonderful bottle of dry rosé.”-Robert Parker
Rosé season has begun!Over a decade ago, before Rosé became popular again, had introduced our
customers to the joys of drinking dry Rosé. It is the perfect summertime wine. Cooland refreshing, and usually moderately priced, Rosé is meant to be consumed
without pretense. It is “just” a fun wine that is delicious by itself or with almost anyfood.

Wolffer Estate ‘Summer in a Bottle’ Rosé -2015Green’s Cash Sale Price:
The color of sunshine, this wine gives juicy aromas of summer fruit—ripe peach, apricot andcantaloupe—along with honeysuckle and freshly cut hay. The mouth-feel is beautifully balanced. After the ripe lush fruit, including those on the nose plus lychee, come wonderful layers of acidity,
yeasty lees notes and mouth-filling texture.”-Winemaker’s Notes

Domestic
Cuvee Royale Tavel Rosé-2015Green’s Cash Sale Price:
The terroir of the vineyard of this wine is entirely “galéts roules,” the same large smooth pebblesfound in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. These stones reflect the heat toward the fruit during the day, andretain, and slowly release, heat throughout the night. The grapes get unusually ripe here. Made
from Grenache (50%), Clairette (11%), Cinsault (20%), Picpoul and Bourboulenc (10%) ,Carignan and Syrah (9%), this Tavel is rich and powerful. Possesses a deep pink color and ripe
cherries on the bouquet, this dry, rich, ripe red fruit flavored wine is one of the most concentratedRosés we carry. If Chateauneuf-du-Pape made a Rosé, this is what it would taste like.
Dme de Paris Cote de Provence Rosé 2015Green’s Cash Sale Price:

Victor Costieres de Nimes Rosé-2015Green’s Cash Sale Price:
What a beautiful Rosé! It’s hard for me to select a favorite of this group as I liked them all, but if Ihad to point out just one it would be this wine. It’s got everything; an elegant light to medium pink
color, a red fruit and watermelon-like aroma, and a flavor that is the perfect balance betweenacidity and fruit. It is from Costieres de Nimes, just west of Provence in the southern Rhone
Valley.
Chateau Cornut Costieres de Nimes Rosé-2015 (not pictured)Green’s Cash Price:

Domaine Fazi Rosé Ile de Beaute-2015Green’s Cash Sale Price:
This is the fourth year we’ve been able to source this wine and it has become one of ourcustomers’ favorite Rosés. Made from four grape varieties, 35% Sciaccarellu, 30% Merlot, 25%Grenache, and 10% Cinsault, the major component, Sciaccarellu, is a native grape variety of theisland. Close in appearance to the Pinot Noir grape, the wine from this grape displays an aroma
similar to Pinot as well.“Oeil de Perdrix” in color (that’s fancy French talk for very pale Rosé), indeed it has a light tint ofbronze blended with an airy pale pink hue. The bouquet is very subtle, fruity and discreet, with
lightly spiced notes. The flavor is all about freshness and crispness.
