Spanner Smoke Tube Oil Fired Package Boiler & Hot Water HeatersSpanner smoke tube oil fired boilers are designed with emphasis on efficiency, reliability, compactness and easy access for maintenance and cleaning.

All unit designs can be utilised for steam raising or hot water requirements. Steam outputs from 500 to 16,000 kg/h at pressures upto 18 bar.

Spanner boilers offer the option to fit pressure jet or rotary cup type burners depending on clients personal choice and required steam output.

Water Tube Oil Fired BoilersTD, D & ESD Type for cruise ships, tankers and offshore applications.

Cruise Ships, Oil/LNG TankersThe TD, D & ESD boiler design all utilize plain tube and membrane wall construction – giving a robust boiler which is easy to keep clean.

For cruise ship applications the steam drum can be enlarged to act as the steam space for multiple exhaust gas economisers.

Smoke Tube Exhaust Gas BoilersThis range of vertical or horizontal exhaust gas boilers provide an alternative to the water tube design depending upon individual preference.

With its own water and steam space, its own feed pump and with natural circulation there is no requirement for circulative pumps. This means it can work independently of the ships auxiliary boiler, a useful feature during enforced maintenance of the auxiliary boiler at sea. The same units can also incorporate multi engine applications within the same shell.

Alternatively if preferred this design of unit can be arranged fully flooded and work in conjunction with the oil fired boiler utilising circulating pumps in a conventional manner.

Smoke Tube Composite BoilersThe Spanner composite boiler range combines the features of the side fired boilers with the Spanner exhaust gas boiler. This combination saves valuable space particularly on the smaller tonnage vessels. The gas passes of each section are arranged separately, in accordance with classification requirements, and contained in one shell with common water and steam space. Thus during periods at sea where there is a short-fall in engine power, the oil fired section can automatically start up and supplement steam production. Heat Recovery From Auxiliary EnginesUntil quite recently waste heat recovery from auxiliary engines has not been considered. For new builds Greens have successfully launched the Spanner HBR Composite boiler – with this design in addition to waste heat recovery from the main engine, waste heat recovery from Auxiliary Engines is now being incorporated in order to reduce or eliminate the firing of the oil fired auxiliary boiler whilst the vessel is in port, manoeuvering and in certain operating regimes at sea.

For existing sea going vessels Greens Power can retrofit an engineered compact Spanner Exhaust Gas Economiser (EGE) suitable for use with up to 3 Auxiliary engines.

• Fuels savings of more than $200,000 per year giving a payback period of less than a year.

• Maintain steam production while reducing or eliminating the firing of the auxiliary fired Boilers.

• Easy to maintain, also less costly to run in comparison with auxiliary fired boilers.
