• The cost of batteries has declined significantly over the past five years. GreenPower believes that
trend will continue which will favorably impact the price of the GreenPower EV products compared
to a traditional diesel bus.
• The capabilities of the batteries used by GreenPower have improved significantly over the past few
years making the use of the EV GreenPower buses a viable alternative to a traditional diesel bus.
• Case study from a Washington Transit Authority determined that an electric bus is the best transit
option based on cost of ownership.
• It is anticipated that the EV GreenPower buses will generate estimated annual fuel savings of over
$50,000 compared to a diesel bus, not including maintenance savings. Management has estimated
that the payback for the additional capital expenditure is 5 to 6 years compared to purchasing a
diesel buses.

• Washington has one of the lowest electricity rates in the country
• Washington State has been an advocate for EV vehicles and has been
promoting this for the past 5 years – West Coast Green Highways.
• Hundreds in million of dollars are available from the federal government
including the No and Lo emission, Bus Facilities, TIGER and FAA grants

• OEM- Integration with off-the-shelf components for
meeting current specifications as well as maintenance
and warranty requirements.

result in a lower center of gravity for a superior drive
Product Highlights
• Transit agencies have been moving from diesel buses to other potentially greener technologies such as hybrid, natural gas and electric.
• Grants are available and have a preference for Zero emissions (Such as NoLo)
• Until recently, batteries were too expensive and didn’t deliver the range on a single charge to economically support an all electric bus.
• The transition to alternative fuels is costly for infrastructure, conversions and special alterations to your facility and special permits – EV infrastructure is much less of a cost and the public utilities encourages participation and offer special rates
• In 2013, Washington had the lowest residential electricity prices in the nation and the lowest combined electricity price across all sectors.*
