What a year 2008 has been! Today, we have an amazing team now 25 strong, 16,000 low-income businesses on our platform, a loyal and enthusiastic customer base, and a beautiful office in Hyderabad, India. It has been an exhilarating journey – filled with ups and downs, excitement and frustration, opportunities and challenges. And as we look to 2009 and our ambitious plans to expand throughout India, we wouldn’t have it any other way! Happy Holidays from all of us at GreenMango. Thanks to Our Mangoteers

Over the past few months we have had two full-time interns on staff, who

were our first official Mangoteers. Adrienne Peirce is a recent MBA gradu-

ate from Minnesota who helped us develop our intern program, internal

website, and communications strategy. (See her blog www.lifeof80.com)

Suman Chennamaneni is a recent law graduate from Hyderabad who as-

sisted us with several key marketing and operations projects and was criti-

cal in getting the new office up and running. They both have a strong en-

trepreneurial streak and we can’t wait to see what they do next! Thank

you both!

Meet Our Employee of the Month — T. Renuka

T. Renuka was GreenMango's second employee when she joined us back in March. She quickly

made her way up the ladder to Area Manager in the Sales team. In both October and Novem-

ber, she was our top performer in signing up more small businesses for the GreenMango plat-

form than any other member of the Sales Team. She is famous in the office these days for her

sales numbers and the distance she walks each day to meet her clients. Don’t join her in the

field unless you can manage 8km!

Q: Why did you join GreenMango?

A: I joined GreenMango because I was inspired by their idea. It gives me an opportunity to bring more customers for small

vendors and I can help them.

Q: You have been the Employee of the month for 2 months continuously. What is the secret behind it?

A: I start early at 8 am and work in the field until 4 pm. I also contact vendors on Sunday because that is when most of them

are available.

Q: Will you continue working for GreenMango?

A: Yes. GreenMango has given me a lot of confidence which I lacked earlier. I like my job and I want to grow further.

About GreenMango

GreenMango is an affordable, accessible, marketing platform designed to help small en-

trepreneurs in developing countries grow their businesses. It gives them access to new

sales channels, enables them to market their businesses to new customers, and vali-

dates their work through the reviews of their past customers. By bringing these small

businesses online and giving them the power to market and promote themselves,

GreenMango levels the playing field for poor entrepreneurs to compete with other local

businesses.
