i) CAT plan as has been proposed for 756Ha. Degraded area should be completedin four years.

Project is in operation stage, we had alreadydeposited the CAT Plan amount to theCAMPA fund.

PART-B: General Conditionsi) Adequate free fuel arrangement should

be made for the labor force engaged inthe construction work at project cost sothat indiscriminate felling of trees isprevented.

Noted, Project is in operation stage, LPG isbeing provided/using at Kitchen.

ii) Fuel depot may be opened at the siteto provide the fuel (Kerosene/wood/LPG). Medical facilities as well asrecreational facilities should also beprovided to the labourers.

iii) All the laborers to be engaged forconstruction works should also bethoroughly examined by health personneland adequately treated before issuingthem work permit.

DIAGNOSTIC SCREENING AND TREATMENT EYE CAMPGREENKO BUDHIL HYDRO POWER PRIVATE LIMITED,

CHAMBA, HIMACHAL PRADESH

Under the health related CSR activities, a free Diagnostic Screening and Treatment (DST) EyeCamp was conducted by Greenko for the neighbouring community of its Greenko BudhilHydro Electric Project (70 MW) in Bharmour Tehsil, Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh. Themain objective of the camp was to provide medical eye care service to the local communityunreached with these services and provide surgical eye care service to the patientsdiagnosed with cataract and other refractive errors to eliminate avoidable blindness. Theeye camp covered the residents of nearby 15 to 20 villages falling under project Panchayats.

The Eye Camp was organized in association with Mela Mal Sood Rotary Eye Hospital,Maranda, Palampur. This hospital is the largest and well-equipped eye care service centre inHimachal Pradesh rendering its manifold ophthalmic services to cure and prevent theavoidable blindness and bring a transformation for the betterment of the society.

Screening Camp

The screening camp was conducted on 21st May 2017 at Greenko Office, Thalla Village,Bharmaour Tehsil, Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh. A seven-member professional teamincluding 2 eye specialists namely Dr Rohit Garg and Dr Siddharth accompanied with 4efficient technical staff have provided their services at the Eye Camp. All the medicalequipment for screening and examination of the patients was brought by the HospitalTeam.

Prior to the camp, advance information was given to the local’s through banners that weredisplayed at the strategic locations of the neighbouring villages, announcements throughmegaphone were made and pamphlets were distributed among the local people. At thevenue display of signs showing the directions to the patient registration; doctor room;technician room and others were made. Arrangements for sufficient number of vehicle weremade to pick up and drop the patients from their respective villages.

The diagnostic and screening camp commenced at 9:30 a.m. with incoming patientsregistered at a registration desk where their details, along with name, age and other werenoted. They were then directed to the Doctors room for screening of the eyes using thenecessary equipment’s. After the initial screening, the patients diagnosed with refractiveerrors were directed to the designated technician room for vision test. The patientsdiagnosed for cataract & other eye surgeries were examined in detail by other technician forgeneral health condition including Blood Sugar (Diabetes), Blood Pressure (Hypertension)etc. Other patients requiring minor treatment were given specific medicines such as eyedrops free of charge for ophthalmic diseases.

A total of 408 people (198 Male, 168 Female, 49 Children) availed the services of the abovecamp. A large number of the patients have come from neighbouring villages of Panjsei, Seri,Fanar, Lahal, Dhurenka, Ghared, Luni, Khani and Bharmour town. The Doctors’ teamscreened and checked the eyes of all the 408 members using the medical equipment’s theybrought. Out of 408 people screened, 53 members (31 Male + 22Female) were selected forcataract & other eye surgeries. The surgeries will be undertaken at Rotary Hospital,Palampur.

The authorized representative of Greenko issued relevant letter for patients diagnosed foreye operation at the Rotary Hospital. The patients are given a month time i.e up to June 30th

2017 to avail the services at the Hospital. Greenko is bearing all the costs of Surgery, post-operative Medicines for the patients and Hospital authorities are providing accommodationand others at the Hospital free of charge. Post-operative follow up activity will be organizedfor the needy patients by the Hospital authorities.

The camp ended at 3.00 Pm and during the camp, drinking water, tea and biscuits wereprovided to all patients and their attendants at waiting area. Village level representativessuch as Pradhan from the neighbouring Panchayats were also present in the Camp. The localprint media covered the event.

The above screening camp was successfully completed with the support of around 35Greenko employee’s representing the Budhil Plant and other proposed projects who havevolunteered to provide their services in organizing the camp. They played a significant rolein the success of the camp specifically the care and assistance they provided to the elderlyand the hospitality that was extended to all the patients was deeply appreciated.

The coordination of the camp activities was undertaken by the cluster and site level HRTeam. The overall guidance and supervision for effectively organizing the camp wasprovided by Plant In-charge along with the participation and inputs from the representativesof the Corporate CSR Division.

As part of the post camp feedback in the local villages it was noted that the local communitymembers, public representatives, local health administration appreciated the efforts of theGreenko Group in providing the eye care services to the local people. They also requestedthe local site authorities for organizing such specialized health services camps as they arenot available at local health facility. The overall feedback suggested that the above initiativehas spread a positive message about Greenko Group.

Surgery Camp

The surgery camp was conducted at Mela Mal Sood Rotary Eye Hospital, Palampur, KangraDistrict, Himachal Pradesh. Rotary Eye Hospital is providing quality and affordable eye careto the poorest section of the society with the latest equipment’s and technologies by theapt surgeons. It provides advanced level of diagnostic and therapeutic services in the field ofeye related diseases to the mankind to survive and sustain.

Prior to the surgery camp, advance information was given to the patients to preparethemselves for the surgery at Palampur. At the Rotary Hospital all the necessaryarrangements for stay and food for the patients was made by the Hospital authorities. Ofthe total patients identified 24 underwent Cataract Surgery i.e Cataract Extraction with IOLimplantation, 04 underwent Pteryging Excision with Conjunctival Autograft 01 of themunderwent Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR). A professional team of dedicated doctors andtechnicians under the leadership of senior Ophthalmic Surgeon Dr Rohit Garg haveconducted the necessary cataract and other surgery for the identified patients. The teamsuccessfully conducted the operative procedures and managing the medical supportactivities at Rotary Eye Hospital.

All the operated patients were given black spectacles with necessary medicines free ofcharge. They were given instruction and counselling about medicines and post operativecare to be taken for protecting the eyes. There were no post-operative complications and allpatients were provided discharge cards. Greenko is bearing all the costs of Surgery, postoperative Medicines, Glasses etc for all the patients who underwent surgery. Post operativefollow up activity is organized for the needy patients by the Hospital authorities.

At time of discharge of patients Greenko authorities also counselled the patients for the eyecare and other general precautions to be taken to protect the eyes. The surgery camp wassuccessfully completed with the assistance and overall supervision and monitoring ofGreenko’s Budhil Site Management and volunteers. The Doctor’s team, the technicians, thenursing staff and hospital management of Rotary Eye Hospital with their eye care servicesand cooperation played a major role in overall success of the surgery camp.

Greenko’s above free DST Eye camp has got an overwhelming response from surroundingvillages of its Hydel Plant. This camp achieved a 100% success rate with no post-operativecomplications. This camp not only provided opportunity for specialized eye care services forthe locals but also supported people with other needful surgeries in screened out patientswith cataract and other refractive errors to eliminate avoidable blindness.
