GRANDPARENT & GRANDFRIENDS SLIDESHOW Thanks to all who submitted a photo for the slideshow during last week's event. The presentation ran during refreshments last Friday morning. If you'd like to see the whole show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUAlvbp5bgI OCTOBER CHAPEL OFFERINGS TO BENEFIT RWANTERU PARENTS SCHOOL Rwanteru Parents School has become a Sister School to Green Park. It is a Primary 1 - Primary 5 School. Last year, Green Park family and friends collected over $1,000 to help Rwanteru! They were able to purchase 30 desks for the students. This year, for the month of October, we will be collecting money to help the school purchase school supplies and possibly more desks for the students. Beth Berner (GPLS ‘85) has traveled to Africa to visit this school, and she thanks you in advance for your generosity! EDUCATE—DID YOU KNOW? This week’s focus is still on lunch accounts. We want to clarify that your child’s lunch balance will go negative as they purchase lunch items. Unlike in years past, lunch accounts do not have to be pre-loaded. The TADS and Educate systems will be linked in the next few months (we are waiting on the TADS people to add that capability). Until then, we are billing each family for their child(ren)’s lunch purchases. September lunches were billed at the beginning of October. If your child(ren) purchased lunch items (including drinks, snacks, chips, ice cream, etc.) in September, you should see an invoice on your TADS account with a due date of October 25. That invoice will include your lunch charges. As those invoices are paid, the lunch account balance for your child(ren) will be adjusted. PLEASE NOTE: Do not send money (checks or cash) in with your children to pay for lunch. Lunch payments are made through TADS only. In the future, when the TADS and Educate systems are linked, you will be able to make lunch payments online directly to TADS. If you have specific questions about anything in the TADS or Educate systems, please email either Sara Hopfer at [email protected] or Kelly Pfund at [email protected]. Don’t be afraid to ask anything. Chances are, you are not alone! And your question might give us an idea for our next “Educate—Did You Know?” section in our Green Sheet. What: Silent auction on MLB memorabilia, Cardinal tickets and packages, and much more. Contests and games including two radar gun booths and prizes for the kids.
