FEBRUARY-MARCH-APRIL CHAPEL OFFERINGS TO BENEFIT RIVER ROADS Our February, March, and April chapel offerings are going to support River Roads Lutheran School. River Roads is a Lutheran School located at 8623 Church Road in the Baden community. They offer education for preschoolers through eighth grade. Please help us support their ministry by remembering to send a chapel offering each Wednesday with your student.

SPRING PICTURE DAY - FRIDAY, MARCH 29 Spring Picture Day is coming Friday, March 29. All students will have their picture taken. Inter-state Studios will send picture proofs about two weeks after picture day. Proofs will be sent home with students along with an order form so parents can preview the poses. Purchasing is optional. If you don’t wish to order, simply return the proof to the school office. Dress Code for Picture Day: Students may wear a fun Easter or spring casual outfit of their choice or a favorite sports team shirt/jersey. We encourage our students to make good choices when deciding their dress selection, understanding the possibility of outdoor recess and P.E. classes. If you have a question regarding your outfit choice, please feel free to check with Mr. Eggold prior to picture day.

TRACK COACHING HELP NEEDED We are looking for someone that could help supervise, coach, and assist with the Green Park Track Team this spring. PRINCIPAL’S CORNER Spring break is here! Hopefully that means there is a break in the winter weather we have been having and we can actually have Spring. My prayer for you is that this next week is a time of rest and relaxation and lots of family time. For those that are traveling we pray safety for you. During our spring break time at Green Park, we will be busy. Three more rooms on the elementary wing will be getting new tile floors, the HVAC people will be coming out to clean the heating/AC units in each room and replacing filters, and security cameras will be installed inside and outside the building. Shortly after returning from spring break, we will be starting achievement testing, April 8-12. At the same time, April 7-9, the visitation team for our school’s accreditation will be on campus to do there visit and recommend us for accreditation. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! GRADES 1-7 ACHIEVEMENT TESTING—APRIL 8-12 Please mark your calendars for the week of April 8-12 as that is when achievement testing will take place for students in 1st-7th grade. (Please note, unlike past years, this year Kindergarten students will not be taking achievement tests.) It is vital for the kids to be present for the tests, so please avoid scheduling any doctor/dentist appointments, other activities, or days off of any kind during that week. Thank you.

STUDENTS SHINE AT LuSo SCHOLAR BOWL On Saturday, March 2, 56 students from Green Park participated in the Scholar Bowl at Lutheran South. What a great job the kids did. As a school, Green Park finished second overall! SCRIP NEWS The next Scrip Order will be entered on Friday, April 5. It will be delivered on Friday, April 12.

Scrip Profit Sheets went home recently to families who have accumulated at least $10 in Scrip Profits. They were sent home with the oldest child. Remember, if you do not wish to use your Scrip Profits at this time, they will roll over to next year. Families with 8th graders and no younger students, your Scrip Profits must be used or you forfeit them (unless you want to gift them to another family). They cannot be exchanged for cash.

LUTHERAN SOUTH LANCERETTES TRYOUTS The Lutheran South Lancerettes with be hosting tryouts for their 2019-20 squad. Clinic and Tryouts are April 23 through April 25 from 4:00-6:00pm. Attendance is required at all three dates. Please bring jazz shoes, black leggings, and a t-shirt. Dance experience is helpful but not required. Willingness to learn is most important. JOB OPENING AT LESA The Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA) is seeking a part-time Communication Specialist to develop and maintain all community outreach activities. The ideal candidate will represent LESA and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase LESA’s visibility within the community through messaging, promotion, and resource development. Qualifications include Christian individual holding bachelor’s degree with minimum of two-years’ experience in a nonprofit agency; experience with or knowledge of Lutheran education a plus, excellent inter- and intra- personal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time-management skills, with the ability to be responsible and take initiative with minimal supervision, and strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
