Their Structural Characteristics

• It has a big dark brown, yellow, green ish and hard shell.

• It has four flippers, 4 fins and a tail.• Its legs are its flippers.

meters).• They can live up to 80 years old.• They can weigh up to 320 KG’s,

700 pounds.• They are an endangered species, I

think it will be very bad if there is none left in the world.

Food• Its a Herbivore.• The adult green sea turtles only eat plants and there favourite is sea greens.

• They eat mangrove that hangs over the water.

• The younger turtles will eat fish, jelly fish, crustaceans and algae.

• They are born as poor swimmers and float along the top and eat shrimp.

Habitat

• The adult turtles are found in shallow, coastal waters, bays and lagoons.

• Males never leave the water, but females swim to shore to lay their eggs.

• They are found in the pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans.

Migration • They migrate from feeding sites to

nesting grounds, normally on sandy beaches.

• They mate every 2 to 4 years, and normally takes place in shallow water near the sand.

• To nest, females leave the sea and choose an area, most of the time on the same beach used as their mothers, to lay eggs.
