TRIP DETAILS AT A GLANCE

DAY 1 - Arrive in AthensArrive in Athens, where you are welcomed by your private, local tour escort and driver. Upon collecting your luggage, your tour escort guides you on a beautiful panoramic tour of Athens, featuring the site of the first ever Olympic games, the Temple of Zeus and the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.

Once the afternoon tour is complete, depart for a wonderful welcome dinner at a local Greek Taverna, where a traditional folk show and Greek music provide classic entertainment to a delicious meal of Mediterranean cuisine. It is the perfect introduction to the Greek culture.

DAY 2 - Temple of PoseidonAfter a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, you have the opportunity to visit what many consider to be the “best museum in Greece.” The National Museum is home to the world’s best collection of Greek art and artifacts, dating back to 7000 BCE. While many could spend multiple days getting lost in its many treasures, you continue on to the acropolis hill and have the chance to see the Parthenon and other famous sites.

The afternoon tour brings you to the gorgeous coast and Cape Sounion, where you can explore the Temple of Poseidon, dedicated to the God of the Sea. The surviving columns have provided inspiration for many famous authors and poets.

DAY 3 - Depart on Greek Island CruiseEnjoy another breakfast in the hotel and head off for the quintessential Greek experience by boarding a cruise ship that will take you to some of the country’s most picturesque islands (The cruise ship is full board and provides all meals).

The first stop on the tour is Mykonos, an amazing spot where there isn’t a bad view. People from all over the world flock to its glamorous shores and it is a great place to enjoy a fantastic getaway.

DAY 4 - Kusadasi, Turkey, PatmosThe morning offers the chance to get a taste of the Turkish lifestyle with a stop at the beach resort town of Kusadasi. Visit a 17th century mosque or enjoy the day amongst the beaches, coves and caves as you explore the fascinating Aegean coast.

Depart for Patmos. The afternoon and evening are spent at the island of Patmos, where it is said that St. John wrote the book of Revelations. This makes it a pilgrimage site for many Christians, where a massive 11th century monastery sits atop a hill in his name. There are also lovely beaches and hillsides to explore on this beautiful island.

DAY 5 - Crete, SantoriniYour cruise through the Mediterranean continues with a morning stop in Crete, where treasured history and unbelievable natural landscape collide to create a part of Greece that is remarkably unique. From pink sand beaches to mountainous hiking trails, there is no shortage of outdoor adventure.

Depart for Santorini. Spend the evening in arguably one of the world’s most beautiful places and move through the iconic island, carved out on a Cliffside and resulting from a volcanic eruption. You’ll see an unbelievable sunset over the volcanoes and the ocean as well as experience the famed vacation destination in all of its splendor.

DAY 6 - Acropolis MuseumThe glorious days at sea come to a close as you arrive back in Athens for your final day in Greece. Spend a great portion of the day at the New Acropolis Museum, incorporating stunning glass floors that allow you to see the excavations beneath.

DAY 7 - DepartureBid farewell to the ancient kingdom and arrive at the Athens airport for your flight back home.
