// MEET YOUR JOURNO!

Merhabaaa (=hellooo)! I am Ezgi, a 20 year old girl from the lovely city of Istanbul, where the two continents meet (no, you don’t need your passport passing to the other side of the city:)) I almost broke my leg before coming here, but luckily enough, you have a journo that can still walk properly. How-ever, my advice for you is to watch out when you walk on the streets of Graz (especially those of you who are not used to snowy roads)! ;) Well, I will be watching you..didindindidin.

Howdy!

We guess it is the perfect time for us to introduce ourselves. Finally. After a few moments spent with each of you, af-ter many hours spent on preparing these six pages you’re holding right now - the welcoming issue of the Glorious Graz Pressteam. As you might have heard we are the people who are spending whole days in their caves, barely seeing the sunlight, mostly feeding with coffee and red bulls. Tightening their relations with some highly evolved creatures, called laptops. The editors. For some known as Lavrentia (GR) and Piotr (PL).

Our goal is basically simple. Make journos stick to the deadlines, make you be impatient for us and stay awake until 6:00 a.m. in order to print brand new papers, which will be freshly delivered to you during the breakfast.

But keep your eyes open. Getting the next one could be not as easy as this time.

Your lovely editors,Lavrentia and Piotr

Nataliia Tarasevych is my full name, but if it’s ok for you call me Nata (don’t be surprised if you hear just Tara-sevych;) I’m a 19 year old Ukrainian, student of Kyiv National Economic University. I have fallen in love with the EYP since 2007 and now it’s basically an inseparable part of my life. Ev-erything connected to socializing is that unique ‘activity’ that can make me really happy! So when I’m not chatting, gossip-ing, laughing, singing or simply shouting (like all Ukrainians do ;P) I do love dancing, listening to British music and reading classical literature.

Yeah! I’m Giorgi and I come from Georgia. For some reason it’s funny for certain people but I’m seriously fed up with “George from Georgia” stuff. I’m involved in EYP since 2006 and I am literally in love with it! Hence, I have announced 2010 as an EYP year and I am actually going to attend as many sessions as my budget can afford :). As for the session? I have to admit that I’m extremely happy to be here and enjoy won-derful company of friends from all over Europe!

Hello lovely people! I am Silvia, an 18 year old girl from Barcelona. I’ve been addicted to EYP for one year now. I never get tired of meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. I am a really energetic person! The funny thing about me is that I really can’t stop dancing and fooling around since I discovered the wonderful world of EYP... That’s why I promise to teach a short fl amenco dance to whoever asks me to. I seri-ously wouldn’t lose this chance if I were you...:)

I am Mario the Jourganiser, a 19 year old boy from Aus-tria and probably the busiest journalist you are going to see (or not, because I am as fast as fl ash) walking around. Due to the duty of being an Organiser as well, there is no need for me to sleep although I could fi nd some time for it. You will always see a smile on my face, even in early morning or late at night, because EYP has infl uenced in such a positive way that I can’t help it! So, if you ever see my smile being disappeared, then just shout “Look the Jourganiser” as loud as you can to cheer me up!

It was almost twenty one years ago when I was born in Poland, a beautiful country somewhere in the middle of Europe, and- I live there ever since. If I am not to be found studying in Warsaw or acting like a lazy bastard in Rzeszow, I am most probably to be found at another EYP session, and if I won’t show up in some ordinary place in two weeks, please call the police (112) and my mom (+48604113531) I guess that’s all, folks, cause every single one of you will get a chance to meet me and fi nd out the truth!

// CinDELElla StoryOnce upon a time, in a land far far away, a young delegate was chosen to represent his

beautiful country in the European Youth Parliament. He was so honoured but at the same time it was a proper challenge for him as a new EYPer. At that very moment, he had no idea about the whole new world he was going to discover in a while. Even if there was nothing to fear, uncertain-ty still existed on his mind. With no clue about where he was going, he was constantly wondering whether or not EYP would be the right place for him. Would he really be able to fit into a group of strangers? Could he truly succeed and meet his expectations?

All those things kept rolling on his mind, till he arrived there only to find out that he had so much in common with the rest of the group and everyone seemed to meet the standards of those idealized types of people who he could hardly meet in his daily life. However, what he could have never imagined is that some of the friendships which are created in EYP are actually some of those that can last forever. EYP turned out to be his 2nd home and the ideal place to express himself at

the maximum. Our young EYPer and the European Youth Parliament became one unity, like bone and flesh or seed and soil.

Yes, fellow delegates, we’re indeed referring to the EYP addiction, mostly known as PED (Post EYP Depression)- a dis-ease that is caused when you leave a session and the only way to cure it is to attend more sessions!

The same happened to our EYPer who couldn’t actually take his mind off the precious memories that he gained dur-ing teambuilding, committee work, GA, Eurovillage, Parties and Euroconcert. He just kept thinking of the lovely people around him that offered him the time of his life. He might

needed some time to evaluate his experience, but in the end he realized that the solution to his sadness was not staying away from EYP, but actually getting into it even more! The closing ceremony of that session was definitely not the end. It was actually the beginning of a new life, the one of EYP.

And he lived happily ever after! Ezgi (TR) and Silvia (ES)
