What I have learned• Sans Souci may well be a ‘better’ location for hearing
Australia than Grayland in the summer• Domestic station interference is a larger factor in
determining what you’ll hear than wanted signal strength at these similar coastal locations
• Short-term fade patterns and daily variation between the two sites hides long-term trends
• Murphy is EVERYwhere!– The unattended listening location – Grayland - was subject to –
over-twisted wire nuts (2013) & a power outage (2014)– ‘back home’ was subjected to Mac/PC – USB/Thunderbolt
incompatibilities resulting in lost files
