•The goal behind this game is introduce the players to a world where they feel lonely, helpless, and small. Then, we’ll introduce a mechanic that gives the player power over the world. Once we do that, we want to explore the fragility of relationships and their intricacies.

• Nameless Space Worker

• Non Utopian Future

• Dedicated to fixing things almost to the point it becomes an obsession. This personality trait will manifest in the game through the mechanic.

• Although not clear in the beginning, the protagonist is a woman in her mid 40’s.

•After a disaster that occurs during a docking accident on the space station, our protagonist awakes to find herself stranded on a small planet with flaming wreckage around her.

•Your first interaction is a radio transmission from an astronaut stuck in the other side of the planet asking for help. “Please help me…”, you hear through a radio link. You two are the only survivors of the accident.NYDesigns presentation to NYSERDA August 17,

• In order for you to move forward and reach the astronaut, you will have to gather broken pieces of the planet. Since they have their own gravitational pull, you must make sure you’re collecting the right amount and size to take you to the intended place.

• In some of the planetoids, you’ll going to find surviving inhabitants of this planet. Each of them can give you some clues about what happened to this place. Even more, a part of them may ask you to help them fix some artifacts (puzzles).

• Throughout the game the astronaut will remain in radio contact with you, and will build a relationship with the player (Protag remains a silent entity)

• Since you don’t have a specific path to follow, during the game you will have make some decisions that are going to directly influence the lives of the npcs: For example, you may chose not to save an inhabitant and arrive at the astronaut earlier, or try to save as many as possible and run the risk of not finding the astronaut alive anymore.

A choice to explore far away may cause you to lose radio contact and will leave the astronaut in despair. Each option you choose may lead to a different ending.

The course of the game will always take you to the astronaut, but who or what you’ll find will vary based on your choices.

• We will divide the game into phases, each one of them consists in a different part of the planet. The idea is to explore different emotions and we’re going to achieve it through soundtrack, aesthetic, what the npcs tell you, and what the astronaut tells you through the radio link.

• By the end, you should be able to have solved all the mysteries behind the wrecked planet and also helped the survivors to find their way home, as well as saved the astronaut. But once again, the end will depend on your decisions through the game.
