Alfonso Cuaron Alfonso Cuarón Orozco (born November 28, 1961)

is a Mexican film director, screenwriter, producer and editor best known for his films A Little Princess (1995), Y Tu Mamá También (2001), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Children of Men (2006), and Gravity (2013).

Most of his work has been praised by both audience and critics, and he has been nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Original Screenplay for Y Tu Mamá También, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film Editing for Children of Men, and Best Picture for Gravity, winning Best Director and Best Film Editing for Gravity.

David Heyman David Jonathan Heyman (born 26 July

1961) is an English film producer and the founder of Heyday Films. In 1999, Heyman secured the film rights to the Harry Potter film series and went on to produce all eight installments, becoming the most important member of the crew to be involved in all the films. In 2013, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture as the producer of Gravity.

George Clooney as Lieutenant Matt Kowalski; the commander of the team. Kowalski is a veteran astronaut planning to retire after the Explorer expedition. He enjoys telling stories about himself and joking with his team, and is determined to protect the lives of his fellow astronauts.

Synopsis Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant

medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. Box office Gravity topped the box office and broke Paranormal

Activity 3’s record as the highest-earning October and autumn openings ever, grossing $55.8 million. 80 percent of the film’s opening weekend gross came from its 3D showing, which grossed $44 million.

Gravity opened at number one in the United Kingdom, taking GB £6.23 million over the first weekend of release and remained there for the second week.

As of March 23, 2014, Gravity has grossed $273,089,375 in North America and $441,300,000 in other countries, making a worldwide gross of $714,389,375 – making it the eighth highest grossing film of 2013.

Accolades Gravity received 10 nominations at the 86th Academy

Awards and was one of the two films that received the greatest number of nominations for the 2014 ceremony.

The film won the most of the night with 7 awards: Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.

Gravity received 11 nominations at the 67th BAFTAs and won 6 awards, including Outstanding British Film, Best Direction, Best Original Music, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, and Best Visual Effects.
