Visiting the University of Idaho with a special Open Gallery is famous street artist Shepard Fairey.Shepard is the creator of the Obey brand and his work can be seen all over the world. Don’t missthis rare opportunity to see Shepards work in person as well as listen to a keynote speech by himabout his career as an artist.

The event will talk place 01/16/2012 in the University of Idaho Commons. The event will go from 6 -10 pm.

The Popsicle® brand is an American classic, with more than 30 creative variations of the original Popsicle® product. And believe it or not, it all started with an accident!

In 1905, 11- year - old Frank Epperson left a mixture of powdered soda, water, and a stirring stick in a cup on his p or c h. It wa s a cold night, and Epperson awoke the next morning to �nd a frozen pop. He called it the "Epsicle."

I t was a h i t wit h hi s f r iends at school, and later with his own kids. They constantly called for "Pop's 'sic le." S o in 1 92 3 , E p p er so n changed the name and applied for a patent.

A couple of years later, Epperson sold the rights to the brand name Pop sic le ® to the Joe Lowe Comp an y in New York. The rest is history!
