A Cluster can be defined as a combination of companies, training centres and research units over a given territory:
- involved in a partnership approach aimed at producing synergies through joint projects, that have an innovative character,
- and enjoying the critical mass necessary to ensure international visibility.
Purpose: to design and build new innovative products with high value added that are competitive on an international level; develop employment and the local economy.

Examples of Projects
• CRISTAL (LOHR Industrie)
a specific vehicle, adapted to self-service,
an appropriated system of management and exploitation,
a system fitting with a global strategyof mobility (transport and car parkmanagement),
integration and supporting measures.
Its purpose is to adapt the offer in individual or semi-collective transport following the constant evolution of the demand in urban centers.

CRISTAL : Public Individual Vehicle
• The Cristal’s innovation consists in the implementation of a complete offer (by this individual or semi-collective units of mobility) in public transportation, by the sameoperator exploiting the public existing transport, and to provide all users needs in their urban mobility.
• The integration of innovative technologies such as : information systems (in two different places), automaticanalyses of the users (data mining), platooning or computer-aided tourism, complete this new offer of mobility.
