Tuweep Campgroundprimitive campsite on the northwest rim of the Grand Canyon.

• The nine primitive Grand Canyon campsites are available on a first-come first-served basis.

• Up to six people and two vehicles are allowed at each campsite. There is no campground fee.

• The only improvements are composting toilets and picnic tables. • Make sure to bring your own water and food.

• The area, 51 miles from a paved road, has no cell phone coverage.

Starting September 1st 2014Campers can not build a fire or use a charcoal grill at the campground. Gas grills are permitted.

• Walk-up permits may be obtained up to six days in advance at Pipe Spring National Monument near Fredonia or the St. George Public Lands Visitor Center in St. George, Utah.
