• Direct objects follow action verbs and tell who or what receives that action.
• To find the direct object, ask three questions:• What is the verb in the sentence?• Is it an action verb?• Who or what receives the action? (direct object)

Proper Adjectives
• Common adjectives are formed from common nouns and don’t need a capital letter.
• Proper adjectives are formed from proper nouns and are always capitalized.
