Corruption part of public life, says watchdog

Transparency International, a Berlin-based nongovernmental organisation, said its global

corruption barometer this year showed bribery was most prevalent in Africa, where an average 36% of

those surveyed said they or a member of their families had paid a bribe in the past 12 months.

Latin America was next, with 17% of those polled saying they had bribed someone recently.

In Russia and the former Soviet republics, the figure was 12%.

The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer and the fourth son in the Fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.
