Profile Graeme Stewart (b. 1983) is a composer and music producer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After his undergraduate studies at Queen’s University under composers Piers Hellawell and Paul Wilson, Graeme took up a postgraduate position at the Royal College of Music in London studying Composition for Screen. He has since worked prolifically as a composer, orchestrator and arranger of original music for TV and radio, as well as the musical arrangements for concerts for the BBC. Over the past few years, Graeme has worked with some of the biggest names in Irish and UK music including SIGMA, Bronagh Gallagher, INXS, Eddie Reader, Sharon Shannon, The 4 of Us, Nathan Carter, Gavin James and many others. Recent work includes the position of Musical Director on the award-winning Return of Colmcille event written by Frank Cottrell Boyce for the 2013 City of Culture Celebrations in Londonderry, and the score for feature film “A Nightingale Falling” which was performed by the Ulster Orchestra. Centurion “Launch Event” Music (2013)- client commissioned specially composed music for the launch event of a new eye surgery system being unveiled in Amsterdam in October 2013. The music was based on the startup sound of the machine, and turned into an epic orchestral 2min piece.

Musical Director of “The Return of Colmcille” (2013)- original music and new arrangements of songs, together with the musical direction of groups and musicians for this landmark production for the 2013 City of Culture year in Londonderry. Written by Frank Cottrell Boyce (2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony); Prod. Walk the Plank. Event took place on 7th-8th June
