Main objectives of Graefewirtschaft
setting-up social enterprises
creating decent jobs opportunities for migrants and refugees
acquisition of contracts alongside the skills and capacities of the members
training on the job, learning by doing
promoting multi-culutral exchange in the local community
serving local needs and strengthening the social cohesion in the neighbourhood
participating in programmes to combat racism
Methodology
mobilising supporters and building social capital in the community
defining business fields alongside local needs and starting with business activities
mix of finance and funding
mix of staff – professionals and non-professionals
acquisition of contracts and capital
providing support by coaching and training on the job
raising income through sales and contracts rather than through projectgrants and subsidies
