It allows students to complete their credits for an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and gain apprenticeship training leading to a Certificate of Apprenticeship and Journey person status. The program is available to candidates who have completed 16 credits at the end of Grade 10. Edsby Parent Information

All parents / guardians at every GECDSB school now can register for Edsby, an innovative, cloud based tool to have real-time access to their children's attendance, schedule, activities and classroom work as well as an additional resource to connect with teachers and for the latest school news and information. If you already have an Edsby account at your child’s elementary school and your child attends a school in the GECDSB your account will follow your child to high school and you should not have to re-register.

If you do not have an account simply sign up in September by handing in your email address. You will receive a confirmation notice that includes instructions on activating your account. Be sure to check your junk mail folder for the confirmation.

Click the link in the email you were sent and a browser will send you to a screen like the one below:

Example of Edsby Log in:

If you don’t already have an Edsby parent account, click the: I don’t have an Edsby account button in the email. You’ll then be prompted on a second screen to enter and confirm a password. Your email address, your username, will already be entered. Click Create Edsby Account. You’ll be logged into your Edsby Account and a “Welcome to Edsby” message will be sent to your email address. The information for at least one of your children will be immediately visible to you.
