    1.2 Themba make calls to the Supermarket every Thursday to make reservations for

    1.3.1 Calculate the total amount George will pay for both items, if he makes the

    purchase on the 2nd of May 2015.

    R9 000.00 from a bank to add on what he has been saving before the bargain.

    QUESTION 2 Lindiwe is a grade 10 learner. She walks for 3km from home to school during weekdays. 2.1 Convert Lindiwe’s walking distance to metres (m). (2) 2.2 It takes Lindiwe’s teacher 5 minutes to walk to her classroom. How long does it

    QUESTION 3 Henry would like to build her bachelor house that includes bedroom, bathroom and space for

    TV and kitchen. He draws a scale diagram of the house as shown below.

    3.3 On the scale diagram the doors are 17mm wide. What is the actual width of the

    QUESTION 4 4.1 Mrs Mnisi is baking a banana cake for her visitors who would like to eat the cake at

    2:30 pm before they leave. At what time must Mrs Mnisi put the cake in the oven so

    that it is ready for the visitors if the cake requires 3½ hours to bake?

    4.2 Mr and Mrs Mnisi are a married couple who are planning to have three children.

    Their wish is to have two boys and a girl.

    4.2.1 Complete the tree diagram in ANNEXURE B to illustrate the possible

    outcomes.

    4.3 Robert buys a new TV cabinet that comes with the following pictorial assembly
