GOVT. POLYTECHNIC PANCHKULA

Introduction:

This institute established in 2019-20, as Govt. Polytechnic, Panchkula to impart Diploma

Engg. with sanctioned intake of 60 each in the course of Computer Engineering, Medical

Lab Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Architecture

Assistantship Engineering. In this session there are 5 Diploma courses running at institute

with approximately 500+ students on roll under the guidance of matured, dedicated,

experienced and highly qualified staff. The Institute is spread over an area of about 5.1

acres.

Stand on topic Sketching of Bus stand related to subject Sketching & Model Making,

IV. Site visit on 16-01-2020 for students for Architectural Assistantship at Sector-17,

Market Chandigarh on topic Market seen and structure of market and parking related

to subject Sketching & Model Making, Building Construction-I.

V. Site visit on 10-02-2020 for students for Architectural Assistantship at Sector-17,

Parade Ground INT-EXT EXPO Chandigarh on topic named Building material related

to Subject Building Material and Building Construction-I.

Voter Awareness :

A seminar on ‘Importance of Voting’ held at institute level on 10.10.2019. After the seminar,

the students were identified that are eligible for voting. Poster making competition was also

organized at institute level to promote Voting. At last, the students have taken Pledge of Voting.

In this way, SWEEP Level activities organized at institute level so as to promote voting.

Expert Lectures:

Many Expert Lectures organized at institute Level for students by Industrialists/Academicians.

Others Activities:

Traffic Interpretation center has been set up in the Institute to create awareness regarding

growing accidents on roads by educating people about the traffic rules and make youth

responsible towards safe driving. Slogan writing competition on ‘Road Safety’ is organized

at institute level. Webinar on Road Safety Awareness by Hero Moto Corp is organized at

institute Level.

An Eco-Club Nature Interpretation Center is created at Government Polytechnic Sector-26

Panchkula. Poster Making competition is organized at institute level regarding theme ‘Go

Green’.

Webinar on Implementation of NEP 2020 is organized.

Online Poster Making Competition held at institute level regarding COVID Awareness,

preacautions taken during COVID-19 and Proning Process.
