Government News OUTCOME 2: A LONG AND HEALTHY LIFE FOR ALL SOUTH AFRICANS Life has changed for the better since 1994… Life expectancy figures have shown a gradual improvement from 2006 onwards, after a decline from 2001-2005. The Rapid Mortality Surveillance showed an increase in life expectancy to 60 years in 2011. The implementation of comprehensive strategies to combat Communicable Diseases including HIV and AIDS are among the factors that contributed to an increase in life expectancy. “WORKING TOGETHER WE HAVE CHANGED LIVES IN SOUTH AFRICA”

Life has changed for the better since 1994…
Life expectancy figures have shown a gradual improvement from 2006 onwards, after a decline from 2001-2005.
