Uzbekistan – UTY

Modernization of Uzbekistan Railway Signaling and Telecommunication System

Project Background n Uzbekistan is located in the middle of

Central Asia, which is a core position

on the Silk Road in ancient times. Now

Uzbekistan becomes the center of the

Eurasian economic exchanges.

n Logistics becomes more and more

significant as economy grows. Being a

landlocked country, Uzbekistan relies

heavily on its railway system for the

transport of commodities and

passengers.

Customer Requirements n Speed up the process of new railway

construction and old railway

reformation.

n Support smooth speed upgrade from

120 km/h to higher.

n Improve the competitiveness of

railway transportation and promote

the development of domestic

economy.

n The customer demands for higher

safety of railway transportation.

covering 9 stations.

semi auto blocking system with axle

counter for train detection and new LED
