Gothenburg Art Book comes from a few narrative sources, one of which is thinking about questions of address and form in the making of art and art books: steps in the writing process, pre-writing, brainstorming, researching, writing down all ideas, reorganizing, rearranging, adding or deleting content etc.Gothenburg Art Book was made during summer 2014 when Ljiljana Maletin was selected to be a guest artist at Konstepidemin/The Epidemic of Art, a former Epidemic hospital turned into Sweden’s biggest workplace for independent artists. Since the 1980s, it has been located near Linnéplatsen in Gothenburg. Konstepidemin is a central meeting place for the arts and culture of Gothenburg, a catalyst for numerous ideas and thoughts in the fields of visual arts, literature, theater and music.
