God created Adam and said to him, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of

good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." God gave Adam the choice to either remain dependent on Him for life or to

become independent from Him which is spiritual death. Adam ate of

the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and that day he died

spiritually. Each of us are born into this world in the likeness of

Adam. Sin and spiritual death has been passed on to every human being.

(Genesis 2:15-17)

Page 4: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)
Page 5: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Our spiritual death (separation from the Life of God) is what makes us ask the questions, "Who am I? Why

am I here? Where am I going?"

"There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man that cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God the Creator, made known

through Jesus Christ."

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man (Adam) and in this way (SPIRITUAL) DEATH CAME

TO ALL MEN, because all have sinned… (Romans 5:12)

Imagine You have to jump 10,000 feet out of an airplane. You will have to face the law of gravity in a 10,000-foot fall. The knowledge that you will have to jump should produce a healthy fear in you—

and that kind of fear is good because it can save your life. You know what the law of gravity can do to you. In the same way we are going to look at another Law. After we die we have to face what is called

“The Law of Sin and Death.” Hebrews 9:27

We know that Law as “The Ten Commandments.” Romans 8:2

So let’s look at that Law and see how you will do when you face it on Judgment Day. and hopefully your knowledge of what it can do to you will help you make the right choice, about life’s greatest issue.

Page 8: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Is God first in your life? Do you love God above all else? If we love anything—husband, wife, children, or even our OWN LIVES , more than we love God, we are setting our affection on

the gift rather than the Giver, which is a transgression of the First Commandment. Matt. 10:37

Page 9: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

This means that we shouldn’t make a god to suit ourselves, either with our hands or

our mind. I was guilty of this. I MADE A GOD TO SUIT MYSELF. My god didn’t mind a “white” lie, my thought life, or my lifestyle in fact, he didn’t exist. He was a figment of my imagination, AN “ IMAGE ” WHICH I

SHAPED TO SUIT MYSELF.

Jesus warned that if we get angry without cause we are in danger of judgment. If we hold hate in our

heart, God calls us a murderer. We can violate God’s Law by our ATTITUDE AND INTENT.

Page 13: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Who of us can say that we are pure of heart? Jesus

warned, “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman/man to lust after has “committed adultery already with her in his heart.” Remember that God has seen our thought life.

Have you ever told a lie? Then you are a liar. How many lies do you have to tell to be a liar? Just one. You may not think deceitfulness is a serious sin.

God does!

A little girl was once watching a sheep eat grass and thought how white it looked against the green

background. But when it began to snow she thought, “That sheep now looks dirty against the “white snow” .It was the same sheep, but with a

different background.

Page 19: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

When we compare ourselves to man’s standard we look pretty clean, but when we compare ourselves to the pure snow-white righteousness of God’s standard-His Law, we

can see ourselves in truth, that we are unclean in His sight. That Law is the holy standard by which humanity will be

judged on Judgment Day. (James 2:12) (Hebrews 9:27)

Perhaps you think that God is good and will therefore overlook your sins and spiritual (dead) condition. But if

you were guilty of terrible crimes in a civil court and said to the judge, “Judge, I am sorry I know I’m guilty.. but I

believe that you are a good man and will therefore overlook my crimes,” the judge would probably respond

by saying, “You are right about one thing; I am a good man, and it’s because of my goodness that I am going to

see that justice is done.

Page 23: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

THE LAW OF GOD is merely like a MIRROR — all a mirror does is show you the truth . We can try to justify,

ignore, or change the truth of our spiritual condition by trying to measure up in our own eyes, but God still weighs our hearts

and see us a guilty lawbreakers.

"By the law is the knowledge of sin" (Rom. 3:20)

for "sin is the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4)

It is through the law that men are convicted of sin; and you must realize you are a sinner, dead spiritually, exposed to the wrath of

God, before you will realize your need of a Savior.

Page 24: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Sin’s Penalty: DeathThe Bible says..

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

When man chose to disobey God, the result was death. The basic meaning of death is separation. The Bible teaches that there are three types of death, or separation, that result from

sin.Spiritual death separates a person from the life of God.

(Ephesians 2:1)

Physical death separates a person’s soul from his or her body. (Hebrews 9:27)

Eternal death separates a person, both soul and body, from God forever in Hell. (Rev. 20:15)

Page 25: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

HELL IS ETERNAL AND IRREVERSIBLE

Revelation 14:11 “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day and night”

Revelation 20:14 “This is the second death, the lake of fire”

Revelation 20:15 “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire”

Page 26: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

But Why Does God allow disease in the world? Does God allow suffering? Does God allow death? Does God allow sin to break homes and hearts? Does God allow war? All of these things are, THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN ENTERING INTO THE

WORLD It is the direct result of man's rebellion, and the result of greed , pride, and egotism , a depraved mind, and hunger for

power that only feeds the desire to get ahead. These are just some of the horrible fruits of our sinful nature we are born with. Sin brings suffering & pain into the world. There's no way of getting

around it.

Page 27: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)
Page 28: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Can you see your predicament? You are guilty of sinning against God Himself.

THEY SHOW THAT THE WORK OF THE LAW IS WRITTEN ON THEIR HEARTS, WHILE THEIR

CONSCIENCE ALSO BEARS WITNESS. Romans 2:15

Con - “with”, Science – “knowledge”- So then, with the law written on our hearts and

our conscience bearing witness, it can be said that we are sinning “with knowledge”

that it is against God’s law.

Page 29: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

To illustrate this more clearly, let’s go back to thatplane for a moment. You are standing on the edge of a 10,000-foot drop. You have to jump. (Hebrews 9:27) Your heart is thumping in your

chest. Why? Because of fear. You know that the law of gravity will kill you when you jump. Someone offers you the original Mona Lisa. You

push it aside. Another person passes you the keys to a brand new Lamborghini. You let them drop to the floor. Someone else tries to put a million dollars into your hands. You push the person’s hand away,

and stand there in horror at your impending fate. Suddenly, you hear a voice say, “Here’s a parachute!”

Which one of those four people is going to holdthe most credibility in your eyes? It’s the one whoheld up the parachute! Again, it is your fear ofthe jump that turns you toward the good news

of the parachute. In the same way, knowledge of what God’s Law will do to you produces a fear that makes the news of a Savior unspeakably

good news! It solves your predicament of God’s wrath.

Page 30: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

When you say you believe you are a pretty decent person, keep in mind that it is because you are comparing yourself

on man's scale, not on God's. The Bible teaches that no one is good (Romans 3:10). Not you. Not me. Not Mother Teresa. Not past disciples. Only God is good. (Luke 18:18-20) Do you realize

that it is impossible for a good, holy, perfect, truthful God to have in His presence anyone who has even made one mistake? Since that is the case, we have a problem.

Page 31: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Are you sure you've never hurt anyone? Have you considered the things you speak to others? Jesus warns in Matthew 5:21-22 that even being unjustly angry with someone puts you in danger of

judgment. Also, how many people have you hurt because of things you do or fail to do?

Page 32: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Take a look at Romans 3:27 and Ephesians 2:8. These passages are clear that nothing we can do

on earth can make us righteous in His never-failing sight.

Jesus had strong words for the Religious Pharisees of His day. They said long prayers to be seen by many, they

searched the scriptures daily , They tried to merit favor with God by acting religious, On the outward they seemed

righteous and good to man, but Jesus called them "a brood of vipers" and “Hypocrites”

MAN LOOKS AT THE OUTWARD BUT GOD SEES AND WEIGHS THE HEART. (Matthew 9:11, 12:39, 16:1-4; Luke 7:39,

18:11).

Page 33: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Perhaps you think that belief in God is good enough to get you to heaven. REMEMBER THE PLANE

ILLUSTRATION… you have to jump… there is a parachute…I can choose to believe in the parachute and know all about it and its purpose, functions, etc.

…but it won’t matter, it can’t save me until I transfer my trust and put my faith in it alone and

PUT IT ON! Also consider this: since Satan and his demons believe that God is real, does that mean they

too will be in heaven? James 2:19 See also Romans 1:20

Page 34: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Maybe you have tried to do the right thing for the most part. You've made some mistakes, and IF GOD WEIGHS YOUR

GOOD DEEDS VS. YOUR BAD DEEDS, YOU HOPE YOU WILL COME OUT OK. Again, we have the problem that if you have only sinned once in your life, you've still broken

God's law and are a lawbreaker. God sees our righteousness as "filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6). When we think of God's standard of

holiness, we don't even come close!

Just as a human judge must enforce justice, God, who is completely Just, Holy and Righteous, must

also punish sin.

Page 35: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

There is no bridge or sacrifice that we can offer God to try to SATISFY GOD’S WRATH OR MAKE OURSELVES RIGHT BEFORE GOD,

we try our best through Religion , Good works, Sacraments, Church, TraditionS, philosophy.…yet….WE STAND GULITY IN GOD’S

EYES!

Psalm 51:5 "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me."

Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”

Romans 3:9-12 `There is none righteous, not even one; there is none who seeks for

God; all have turned aside, Romans 8:7 “The sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.”

BUT THERE IS HOPE……

Page 36: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

God's Solution: God has provided Life through the

Resurrection of Jesus Christ

For God so love the world, (insert your name ), that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes (trust) in Him shall not perish but have

eternal life. (John 3:16)

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10)

I am the Resurrection and the Life! He who trust in Me, though he were dead, will live; and whoever lives and believes (trust) in Me will

never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25 )

Page 37: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)
Page 38: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

No other name under heaven that could have set you free from God's judgment by taking your penalty on himself. Only Jesus could qualify to do that. (Acts 4:12) Without the

shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins (Hebrews 9:22)

Only God can forgive sins (Mark 2:6,7; Luke 5:21) With the sentence of death upon us, 2,000 years ago, The Word became flesh (John 1:14) stepped into our courtroom, and paid our sin debt Himself. Like a compassionate judge giving his own life to save the guilty, Jesus Christ took upon Himself the sins of

the world

Page 39: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Before Life could be Given,Sins had to be Forgiven (Taken Away)

Only God can forgive sins.Who can forgive sins but God alone? (Mark 2:7)

God became a man.…Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God

robbery, but made Himself nothing,… And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death–even death on a cross! (Philippians

2:5-8)

He died in our place. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ

died for us. (Romans 5:8)

He is the sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2)

Page 40: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

He is the final sacrifice for our sins

without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22)

Then He adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for

sin. (Hebrews 10:17,18)

This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away our sins.

(1John 4:10)

Page 41: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

for mankind to be saved, there were two issues that God had to address: FIRST, MAN’S SIN (the disease); SECOND,

THE WAGES OF SIN, MAN’S SPIRITUAL DEATH (the result of the disease). Unless both of these

issues were dealt with, mankind could not be totally saved.

Page 42: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)
Page 43: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

WE ARE NOT MERELY SAVED BY THE DEATH OF CHRIST ONLY, WE ARE

SAVED BY THE RESURRECTED LIFE OF CHRIST! THIS IS WHY ROMANS 5:10

SAYS, “IF, WHEN WE WERE GOD’S ENEMIES, WE WERE RECONCILED TO HIM THROUGH THE DEATH OF HIS

SON, HOW MUCH MORE, HAVING BEEN RECONCILED, SHALL WE BE SAVED THROUGH HIS

LIFE!”

GOD’S SOLUTION TO THE SIN ISSUE WAS THE CROSS; HIS SOLUTION TO THE LIFE-AND-DEATH

ISSUE WAS THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

Page 44: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

"RELIGION" is MAN'S BEST EFFORT to reach up to God, but Jesus Christ alone is God's

only method to reach down to man in forgiveness and OFFER HIM TRUE LIFE.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” ~ Acts 4:12

Page 45: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Many people mistake two things for saving faith:

MERE INTELLECTUAL ASSENT THAT IS KNOWING A LOT ABOUT THE BIBLE, LONG PRAYERS, ACTING RELIGIOUS, BELIEVING

CERTAIN HISTORICAL FACTS. THE BIBLE SAYS THE PHARISEES WERE SELF RIGHTEOUS AND RELIGIOUS, BUT WERE DEAD

SPIRITUALLY. Matthew 9:11, 12:39MERE TEMPORAL FAITH THAT IS, TRUSTING GOD FOR TEMPORARY CRISES SUCH AS FINANCIAL, FAMILY, OR PHYSICAL NEEDS. TRUSTING HIM

ONLY WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING.

Page 46: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

SALVATION IS PASSING FROM DEATH TO LIFE!

EPHESIANS 2:4,5 PUTS IT THIS WAY, “BUT GOD BEING RICH IN MERCY, BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE

WITH WHICH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN OUR TRANSGRESSION MADE US ALIVE

TOGETHER WITH CHRIST.”

Page 47: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

BUT HOW DO WE PASS FROM DEATH TO LIFE?

Jesus described the process of receiving life as being “ BORN AGAIN.” When Nicodemus came to Jesus

during the night, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the

Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the spirit gives birth to Spirit…..you must be born again” Jesus said to him.

(John 3:5-7)

When mom and dad brought us into this world, they passed on to us physical life. BUT ONLY GOD CAN

GIVE US SPIRITUAL LIFE. That is why Jesus said that we must be born of the Spirit.

Page 48: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

.

WE RECEIVE THIS SPIRITUAL LIFE (BEING BORN AGAIN), WHEN CHRIST COMES TO LIVE IN US THROUGH THE

AGENCY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. BIBLICALLY, THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF A BELIEVER. “IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE

THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE DOES NOT BELONG TO CHRIST” ROMANS 8:9

ONLY THOSE THAT ARE BORN OF GOD ARE CHILDREN OF GOD

RECEIVING CHRIST INVOLVES MAN REPENTING AND

TRANSEFERING YOUR TRUST FROM YOURSELF,YOURGOOD WORKS, MAN’S

TRADITIONS,RELIGION,CHURCH,ETC. AS A MEANS TO KNOW OR TRY TO REACH GOD AND TRUSTING

SOLEY IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE FOR HIS FORGIVENESS AT THE CROSS AND HIS PROMISE OF

NEW LIFE.

Page 49: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

YOU DILIGENTLY STUDY THE SCRIPTURES BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT BY THEM YOU POSSESS ETERNAL LIFE. THESE ARE THE SCRIPTURES THAT TESTIFY ABOUT ME, YET YOU

REFUSE TO COME TO ME TO HAVE LIFE JOHN 5:39

PLEASE BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF.. PUT YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE IN THE

SAME WAY YOU WOULD PUT YOUR FAITH IN A PARACHUTE. YOU DON’T JUST “BELIEVE” IN IT OR “KNOW A LOT ABOUT IT”… YOU ACTUALLY

TRUST YOURSELF TO IT BY PUTTING IT ON.

Page 50: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

REMEMBER MAN WILL TRY TO JUSTIFY HIMSELF IN THE EYES OF MAN, BUT GOD SEES YOUR HEART, WE ARE ALL BORN DEAD

SPIRITIUALLY AND NEED TO BE BORN AGAIN (LUKE 16:15 ROMANS 3:23)

FOR AS IN ADAM ALL DIE (SPIRITUALLY), SO IN CHRIST ALL WILL BE MADE ALIVE

(1CORINTHIANS 15:22)

The following is a suggested prayer:

Lord Jesus, I need you. I realize my sinfulness against you. I know my religion and good works all fall short. Thank you

for dying on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins. Thank you for offering me Your life. I now ask you to come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take control of my life

and make me into the new creation You want me to be. I now thank You for coming into my heart and giving me

life eternal.

Page 51: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

The Word of God says The living Christ has come to dwell within you forever and you have begun the great

adventure for which you were created for.

IN HIM YOU ARE A NEW CREATION IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR

Page 52: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)
Page 53: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

Now what?Abide in Christ."I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in

him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

Walk in TruthJesus said, "If you hold on to My teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:31,32)

Grow in GraceFor the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live

self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and

Savior, Jesus Christ… (Titus 2:11-14)

Page 54: Gospel Message (Why you need a Savior)

US, SO THAT HE COULD LIVE HIS LIFE THROUGH US

He is the final sacrifice for our sinswithout the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22)

Then He adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. (Hebrews 10:17,18)

This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away our sins. (1John 4:10)

for mankind to be saved, there were two issues that God had to address: FIRST, MAN’S SIN (the disease); SECOND, THE WAGES OF SIN, MAN’S SPIRITUAL DEATH (the result of the disease). Unless both of these issues were dealt with, mankind could not be totally saved.

WE ARE NOT MERELY SAVED BY THE DEATH OF CHRIST ONLY, WE ARE SAVED BY THE RESURRECTED LIFE OF CHRIST! THIS IS WHY ROMANS 5:10 SAYS, “IF, WHEN WE WERE GOD’S ENEMIES, WE WERE RECONCILED TO HIM THROUGH THE DEATH OF HIS SON, HOW MUCH MORE, HAVING BEEN RECONCILED, SHALL WE BE SAVED THROUGH HIS LIFE!”

GOD’S SOLUTION TO

THE SIN ISSUE WAS THE CROSS; HIS SOLUTION TO THE LIFE-AND-DEATH ISSUE WAS THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

"RELIGION" is MAN'S BEST EFFORT to reach up to God, but Jesus Christ is God's only method to reach down to man in forgiveness and OFFER HIM TRUE LIFE.

Many people mistake two things for saving faith:MERE INTELLECTUAL ASSENT THAT IS KNOWING A LOT ABOUT THE BIBLE, ACTING RELIGIOUS, BELIEVING CERTAIN HISTORICAL FACTS. THE BIBLE SAYS THE PHARISEES WERE INTELLECTUALS AND RELIGIOUS, BUT WERE DEAD SPIRITUALLY. Matthew 9:11, 12:39

MERE TEMPORAL FAITH THAT IS, TRUSTING GOD FOR TEMPORARY CRISES SUCH AS FINANCIAL, FAMILY, OR PHYSICAL NEEDS. TRUSTING HIM ONLY WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING.

SALVATION IS PASSING FROM DEATH TO LIFE!

EPHESIANS 2:4,5 PUTS IT THIS WAY,

“BUT GOD BEING RICH IN MERCY, BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE WITH WHICH HE LOVED US, EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN OUR TRANSGRESSION MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST.”

BUT HOW DO WE PASS FROM DEATH TO LIFE?

.

YOU DILIGENTLY STUDY THE SCRIPTURES BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT BY THEM YOU POSSESS ETERNAL LIFE. THESE ARE THE SCRIPTURES THAT TESTIFY ABOUT ME, YET YOU REFUSE TO COME TO ME TO HAVE LIFE (JOHN 5:39)

PLEASE BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF.. PUT YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE IN THE SAME WAY YOU WOULD PUT YOUR FAITH IN A PARACHUTE. YOU DON’T JUST “BELIEVE” IN IT OR “KNOW A LOT ABOUT IT”… YOU ACTUALLY TRUST YOURSELF TO IT BY PUTTING IT ON.

REMEMBER MAN WILL TRY TO JUSTIFY HIMSELF IN THE EYES OF MAN, BUT GOD SEES YOUR HEART, WE ARE ALL BORN DEAD SPIRITIUALLY AND NEED TO BE BORN AGAIN (LUKE 16:15 ROMANS 3:23)

FOR AS IN ADAM ALL DIE (SPIRITUALLY), SO IN CHRIST ALL WILL BE MADE ALIVE

(1CORINTHIANS 15:22)

The Word of God says The living Christ has come to dwell within you forever and you have begun the great adventure for which you were created for.

IN HIM YOU ARE A NEW CREATION IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR

JESUS CHRIST LAID DOWN HIS LIFE FOR US, SO THAT HE COULD OFFER HIS LIFE TO US, SO THAT HE COULD LIVE HIS LIFE THROUGH US
