GMail is a "Must Have" for Web 2.0Using Gmail: Adding GmailTo add Gmail to an existing Google Account, just follow these steps:1. Visit mail.google.com– Click Sign up for Gmail.– At the top of the form, click the link If you already have a Google

Account, you can sign in here. You'll be redirected to a sign-in page.– Enter your existing Google Account username and password, and you'll

get to a shortened Gmail sign-up form.– Select your Gmail username and security question.

After you complete this sign-up process, you'll receive a 'Gmail Upgrade Confirmation' email at the email address that you used to sign in to your Google Account. This means that you've successfully added Gmail to your Google Account. Your full Gmail address will be [email protected] access all your favorite Google products, including Gmail, just sign in with your new Gmail username. You may also sign in with the email address originally associated with your account, if the account was verified before adding Gmail.

A gmail account is an online email account that you can access from any location with an Internet connection, as well as forward to phones through SMS technology.Having the account will also allow you to log into, and access, the  host of collaborative tools provided by Google to enhance information and data gathering and sharing.
