Dissertation Title: Representational Form and Audience Understanding in Evaluation: Advancing Use and Engaging Postmodern Pluralism Building on previous research and representational experimentation in the fields of sociology, anthropology and evaluation, this multi-faceted qualitative study used the interaction between the presentation of evaluation findings and audience as the focal point to thoughtfully inform the practice of evaluation, and in particular, the possible link between representational format of findings and audience understanding and evaluation use. Dissertation committee: Jennifer Greene, Chair; Davydd Greenwood, Ritch Savin-Williams Areas of specialization and interest: • Evaluation and research methodology, specifically mixed-method, qualitative, interpretive, and participatory-

democratic designs for program evaluation and applied social and educational research. • Evaluation of large, national programs and systems, particularly government funded programs. • Creative formats for the representation of evaluation findings to diverse audiences. • Broadening Participation in STEM, STEM learning and teaching, Youth Media, Informal Science Education,

Afterschool education programs, Ethnography, Sociology, Education, Participatory Action Research, Family and Children’s Policy, Civic Leadership, Educational Evaluation, Evaluation Capacity Building, Youth Development, HIV/AIDS Prevention.
