SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES & AWARDS
This is a list of scholarships worth approximately $17 million that high
school students can apply to. Students are encouraged to apply to as many
scholarships that they qualify for with well put together applications. The
scholarships here are always changing so be aware of dates, deadlines and
check often. The scholarships listed here are not a comprehensive list so
students and parents are encouraged to seek other scholarships. Other
scholarships include new opportunities, post-secondary entrance awards
and local community scholarships.
SEPTEMBER The Bun Allin Memorial Scholarship Fund Due Date: Sept 1
Amounts: $1,000
Criteria:
a) Open to either a Grade Twelve or post-secondary student who is a
Saskatchewan resident and is attending and studying in a Saskatchewan
education institution.
b) Applicant must research and prepare an essay on a topic related to fire
sciences (arson, chemistry of a fire, origin and causes of fires, fire prevention,
fire suppression and juvenile fire setters). Essays must consist of at least 2,000
words.
