Hedgehog Class!

Hedgehog Home learnersIf your child is remaining at home then I have provided some suggested activities for you to support their learning following the same objectives that I will teach at school. The planning will not be in exactly the same format as the last half term. Instead I will add a weekly powerpoint and would recommend you follow the formats of previous weekly timetables by completing focussed activities in the morning and more creative and discovery time in the afternoons. The powerpoints will contain maths challenges, writing challenges, phonics and Harry’s challenges each week. You could also complete any previous tasks and please continue with daily reading. I will try to upload story videos too! Please continue to use DoJo to share learning and ask any questions. Thanks and take care. x

Some Fine Motor activities Ride a bike, bounce on a trampoline, try some ball games such as cricket, golf, football, basketball.

Try balancing games. Walk carefully along a piece of string or a chalk line. Balance a ball on a racket.

Maths Challenge

• Last week we looked at different coins. Can you make an ice cream shop or a beach café and put the prices on your food? How much will you charge? Can you add the amount together?

• If you buy one choc ice for 2 pennies and an ice cream for 3 pennies how much would that cost altogether?

• Harry Hedgehog buys one choc ice for 2 pennies and gives you a 5 pence piece. How much change do you give him?

• Mrs Noot buys 3 ice cream cones at 2 pennies each. How much will that be altogether?

Do you know any of these? Match them or find your own.

Share a book together

Take some time to look at a book that you have at home already or look online at Oxford Owl at one of the ebooks. Extra Challenge:You could read your school book to one of your toys!

R.E : Worship

• This week we’re going to think about worship. What does worshipmean to you?

• How do people worship? Where do they worship? We have a time in the day when we come together as a school to share worship together and listen to bible stories. Maybe you could paint a picture or write a prayer to show that you can focus your thoughts on others like we do in worship.
