Cow, A common name for all cows.
Iron, Name of a material
A flock of bird, A collection of some birds.
Kindness, name of an abstract thing

Flock=Collective noun Kindness=Abstract noun
So, we have seen that Nouns are of five kinds.They are-1. Proper noun2. Common noun3. Material noun4. Collective noun5. Abstract noun
