OUND BY THEIR LOVE

of the game, West Bend members enjoy

the county’s finest test of golf – and a warm

sense of camaraderie. The first nine holes of

the course were designed and built in 1929

by Langford & Moreau. The second nine,

designed by The Gill Firm, was completed

in 1959. West Bend will expand your

appreciation for the subtleties of the great

game of golf. And it is a course of champions:

West Bend has hosted state championships,

and many USGA championship qualifiers.

T’S NOT JUST ABOUT THE GOLF. It is without a doubt that West Bend Country Club

has one of the most challenging golf courses in southeastern Wisconsin, but that is only a mere piece

of the whole picture that is offered at our Club. We find that socializing with other members is half the

fun of being a member of a private country club. The social atmosphere at the WBCC is very friendly

and welcoming. Whether you’re in the mood to recollect about the good ol’ days or conduct business

on the golf course or in the dining room, our friendly atmosphere provides the ambiance needed

for those kind of occasions. In addition to our ideal atmosphere, we provide many social functions

throughout the year that allow you to meet other members. Rekindle an old friendship or make a new

one, it is all possible at our social functions.

. . . New FriendsI West Bend Country Club offers a variety of memberships

designed to fit your family’s needs and lifestyle. We have both

Social and various Golf Memberships. For more information

on Memberships refer to our website www.westbendcc.com,

the Membership pamphlet in our Membership Folder, or

contact Kay Giese at 262-334-9541.

Or maybe you’d like to branch out a bit and meet people

at other clubs. Reciprocal Clubs include: Milwaukee

Athletic Club, The Madison Club, The Wisconsin Club,

and many more!

Spectacular Course . . .

Course Features Include: The course sits in the middle of the kettle moraine. The glaciers carved the land into kames and kettles offering natural undulations perfect for interesting golf.

“Hazards should be placed so that any player can avoid them if he gauges his ability correctly, so that these obstacles will make every man’s game more interesting, no matter what class player he is.”

Pictured left is the original Architect, William Langford, who was one of the most prolific course designers in the 20th century. Langford’s designs reflected his aptitude for the game. His classic approach angles and dramatic sloped bunkers force golfers to think. But it is his striking greens – flanked by those daunting bunkers – that make his holes memorable.

- William Langford
