About Wildhorse Golf Club
Home to one of the toughest golf holes in Southern Nevada, Wildhorse Golf Club is a great venue for golfers of all abilities. Originally built in 1959, the course was redesigned in 2004 by architects Brian Curley & Lee Schmidt, featuring several holes guarded by shimmering lakes. The championship, par 70 design is now owned by the City of Henderson. The golf course has been a local’s favorite and a former stop on the PGA Tour. The facility regularly hosted the Sahara Invitational back in the early 1970’s. Today’s Wildhorse Golf Club offers an enjoyable round of golf at an affordable price. For a golf experience that is enjoyable and memorable, Wildhorse Golf Club can’t be beat. A full-service clubhouse has the latest golf attire and equipment for men and women. The facility also can accommodate weddings, banquets, meetings, tournaments and other group outings. Snack Bar and Restaurant facilities are also on site. Wildhorse is conveniently located in beautiful Henderson, Nevada just East of Green Valley Parkway at 2100 Warm Springs Road.

The Practice Center: "Practice Made Perfect"
Wildhorse Golf Club is home to one of the finest practice centers in Nevada. Wildhorse features an impressive natural turf, lighted driving range. Also on hand is an expansive practice putting green, chipping and pitching green, along with a sand bunker. All outing packages include range balls and use of the all practice facilities.
Wildhorse Golf Academy "Improving Your Golf Game is Our Business"
The Wildhorse Golf Academy is operated by veteran PGA Teaching Professional, Tony Lawson and former LPGA Touring Professional, Kerri Clark. Collectively, they bring over 35 years of experience in teaching the game of golf. The academy offers affordable group golf instruction to golfers year round. In conjunction with the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department and its affiliation with the First Tee Program of Southern Nevada, the academy provides instruction to golfers of all ages and skill levels.
Private golf instruction is available on a half hour or hourly basis and price incentive lesson series are offered as well. The academy also offers 1-3 day golf schools covering all facets of the game and includes daily on-course instruction.
With an upscale practice facility, video capabilities, and the ability to provide equipment, the academy conducts clinics to compliment any golf outing or group event. The clinics are priced based on the size of the group and duration of instruction. These clinics are great “ice breakers” prior to or after lunch and are a great way to “kick off” a golf event. The clinics are always informative to longtime golfers and novices alike and are always conducted in a relaxed, fun filled atmosphere.
Please contact the academy or Group Sales Director for further information and details.

Golf Event Formats
Scramble – Relax and enjoy yourself with this fun-filled format, for all skill levels, designed to foster team spirit. Groups of three or four players each take a shot and all team members play from the location of their team's best shot. This continues until the ball is holed. Team with the lowest 18-hole score wins.
Individual Stroke – Challenge your group to compete head-to-head in this tournament that allows each player to play individual ball and obtain a gross score. If players do not have established handicaps, the Callaway scoring system may be used for all players to determine a net score.
Best Ball Format – Take some of the pressure off by allowing teams to play the Individual Stroke method but accelerate the pace by permitting players to pick up if experiencing a bad hole. Play is in teams of two or four with the best score per hole recorded.
Stableford – Play using golfers' established handicaps and point system that encourages players to shoot their personal bests. Points are awarded based on golfers' net scores on the following basis: eagle - four points, birdie - three points, par - two points, and bogie - one point. The player with the most points wins.
Unique Options – Design your own format, with input from our Professional Staff, tailored to generate the most pleasurable outing for your group.
17
Golf Event Starting Options
Single Tee – Start with this ideal format for small outings of 16-40 people or golf leagues of any size. Players tee off in sequential order and tee times continue until all groups are in play. Because of staggered finishing times, this format is not recommended for groups enjoying a banquet immediately following play.
Modified Shotgun – Foster togetherness in this format suited for large groups of 72 to 128 people. The entire tournament starts at the same time but at different holes, allowing teams to finish 18 holes of play at approximately the same time.
Full-Field Shotgun – Take over the entire course with your large group of 128-144 players and start and finish at approximately the same time. Two groups start at each hole and continue play until completing 18 holes.
Double Tee – Select this format for medium-sized groups of 41-128 people. Similar to a single tee sequential start except that play begins at the first and tenth tee simultaneously. Groups go out twice as fast but still get in all 18 holes of play.
